Sun-like houses

Dear Professor,

The chart of this lady with a Taurus ascendant has a stellium in the 9th house

in Capricorn:

31/01/1962 at 11.50 AM

Zone CET -1; 0 DST;

Longitude 6E10; Latitude 49N08

In this regard, I've been rereading the last year Conference Proceedings notes

by Dr. Sankara Bhagavadpada.

In SA Sutra-10 you say : " Any planet placed in the Sun-like Houses, (the 2nd ,

the 3rd and the 9th houses)

has its strength increased, by 25%, thereby it will give better results.

If such planets, placed in the Sun-like houses are already " strong " by SA

reckoning, then their " added strength "

will give results surpassing those of " strong " planets, to the extent of 25%. "

Does that mean that when FM planets are placed in 9th house they have more

power to do harm when afflicting MEPs and FB planets?

NO. POWER TO AFFLICT WILL REMAIN SAME. THE STRENGTH WILL RESULT IN BETTER

RESULTS ON POSITIVE SIGNIFICATIONS OF THE MT SIGN HOUSE(S) RULED BY SUCH STRONG

PLANETS.

To what extent does it helps FB planets to resist afflictions and combustion?

25%

In the lady chart I suspect that the birth hour is probably closer to noon

making FM exalted Mars joining closely the MEP and afflicting

the houses occupied and aspected. Mars is combust.

The lady lost her father, a heart patient, early in life in seemingly dramatic

circumstances and she felt guilty for his death.

DEATH OF FATHER IS ALSO INDICATED BY THE EXACT AFFLICTION OF JUPITER BY RAHU

AND KETU AS ALSO AFFLICTION TO THE SUN BY VENUS..

We know that when a FM is in conjonction with the MEP it weakens all other

planets placed in the house.

The lord of 4th house Sun is afflicted by FM Venus lord of 6th house which is

combust.

The lady until now never got married. The family suffered from the sickness of

the father.

YES, THIS AGAIN IS DUE TO THE STRONG AFFLICTIONS TO THE SUN AND JUPITER BOTH.

Mercury is combust and in old age. There are more than 2 degrees between Ketu

and Mercury.

The lady is stressed by her life challenges and circumstances.

Jupiter is debilitated, combust and exactly afflicted by Kethu.

The lady suffered the loss of a child and had many separations.

She decided to renounce conjugal life and lives in solitude.

Saturn placed in afflicted 9th house in its own sign is combust.

In spite of its weaknesses, as the lord of the house of carreer and

profession, it has

given her the profession of nurse in an hospital. The lady has a humanitarian

approach of life

and high human qualities which is consistent with 9th house significations and

Saturn when strong.

After a day of hard work her legs are painful.

Moon lord of 3rd house of younger brothers and sisters is placed in 7th house

but debilitated in Scorpio.

She has to take care of her younger sister which is mentally handicapped in

an institution.

Currently, as Rahu, Jupiter and Mars are transiting this stellium in Capricorn

she's having a hard time.

She came back exhausted from a foreing country where she's been touring

pilgrimages centers and

practicing intensely spirituality and could not cope with the group she was

with and adopt their philosophy.

She's also having counselling psychotherapy to be able to cope with her life.

In regard to the Sun-like sutra am I missing something in this analysis?

Could you please spread more light on the subject.

WHEN PLANETS ARE CLOSELY AFFLICTED AND WHEN THE MEP OF THE HOUSE IS UNDER

AFFLICTION THE RAISE IN STRENGTH IS NOT AS PER THE SUTRA.

With kind regards and best wishes,

Jean Bianchi
