Dear Friends,

I recently did a chart of someone that was adopted and wanted to know what to

look for in these type of charts I don't know the time of birth but the date was

on July 6, 1954. I noticed that the Sun was conjoined the Nodal axis on this

day. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Best regards,

John

Dear John..

Can you let us know what city, state and country?

Yes, there can be an affliction or bad placement of the Sun and Moon, along

with weakness or afflictions to the second and fourth houses and/or rulers

if containing mooltrikona signs.

I was adopted and can attest to this.

Dear John,

Adopted individuals would have utter weak in strength 4th house and / or 2nd

house, Sun and Moon.

Eighth lord would be strong in the chart.

Kind regards

Sujit

Dear Sujit:

I agree with your assessment with the weakness of the second and fourth

houses and Sun and Moon.

Why, however, would eighth lord be strong?

In the case of my adoption, my eighth lord is closely afflicted, denying

inheritance.

Best wishes,

Dear David,

There are cases where adopted children (from very young) do not know any

difference between either sets of parents. In such cases one would expect

less weakness and a significant challenging subperiod happening right around

birth. The more affected the person is, the greater the weakness.

Professor Choudhury has said that the loss of parents is seen in this order:

4, 9, the Sun and the Moon.

Dear and list members:

I seem to recall asking you, , some time back whether or not

one could tell from just looking at a chart if someone was adopted at birth

(without some affirmation from the individual), but I cannot find the post in my

search of Satva101.

So if you could please answer this question once more Sir, I would be most

appreciative.

Thanking you for your patience and knowledge,

Hello Mew,

From the chart itself it is difficult to be said with confidence.

Dear Sir,

This is a very interesting discussion. A friend had asked me about adopting

a child last month when he had already signed the papers for adoption.

As of last week, he has got the baby boy home.

As per the records from the hospital where this child was abandoned

immediately after birth, the details are

Place: Bangalore

Time: Around 12 noon

Date : 10-Nov-2008

From this chart, it shows ascendant rising in Capricorn, with 2nd house lord

in 8th -just entered old age, 4th lord in infancy, 9th lord combust, Sun in

debilitation and Moon debilitated in Navamsha.

I wonder what is in store for the child and the new parents. Will the

horoscopes of parents be now affecting the child's or vice versa ? How do we

assess the situation ?

Regards,

Ashwin
