Guest guest
Mahesh, While the questions are addressed to me, I think it is open to all. " Conjunction " is just a word. It has had a particular meaning to you till now. However, in the System Approach, it represents the closeness of two astrological positions, which are within 5 degrees of each other. These positions could be two planets or a planet and the Most Effective Point (MEP) of a house. " Affliction " is a word to describe the bad influence of a malefic planet. If a malefic planet is conjunct a house's MEP, then that astrological combination is described as " Conjunction " as well as " Affliction " . However, if a malefic planet is away from the MEP of that house, i.e. the degree difference between the MEP of that house and the position of that planet is more than 5 degrees, then both conjunction and affliction to that house are not applicable.
