Guest guest
My Dear Professor, Sonia Sotomayor was sworn in as the 111th U.S. Supreme Court justice on August 8. The TOB for this event was 11:30 am WDC. Virgo rising, both and Saturn and Mercury both in the 12th, not goods news, and SA is on the MEP. I am glad we have a minority and a female who was brought up in housing projects. She can identify with the poor, outcast and underprivileged. But this looks tough, and does not seem like she'll be making friends in her tenure. MMP MA owner of the 8th is seated in the 9th, which would be OK if it were not for the fact that it is directly on the MEP. As if that is not bad enough, MMP 8L MA 100% afflicts the 12 house MEP, plus 100% afflicts Saturn, owner of the 6th. Venus, owner of the 2nd is well seated in the 10th, unafflicted, so she seems in line for status and money in profession -- which is exactly what this assignment carries with it. Jupiter 4L is 8% on the MEP of the 5H, so I imagine her only line of luck would be in rulings regarding the housing investment nightmare that the US is currently experiencing, and which will doubtless end up in the Supreme Court for one related case or another. Jupiter 4L also 8% aspects the MMP Mars 8L, as well as the 9th house where Mars resides. Even though this is a much needed blessing, Sun, 12L, afflicts 5H where Jupiter resides, thus reducing Jupiter's benevolence and causing loss to the same significations that Jupiter protects. Moon, 11L, is seated in the 6th, and in a house aspected by Saturn -- a small blessing as Saturn owns that house. However, Moon's placement does not bode well for publicity and business/personal relations. I'd say this chart is a royal mess. Too bad as we all were really looking forward to a new era. It looks so bad, I wonder if she'll last for long. The three malefics SA, MA and SU are all on the MEP, casting between the group of them 10 malefic aspects. Both Saturn and Mars cast malefically onto the 12th and 2nd houses. The only real boon in this chart is that she was sworn in during JU/JU instead of SA/SA which would have been the same time next day. My Dear Professor, I think I speak for our entire group in saying we'd like your predictive wisdom on Sotomayor's tenure. Thank you.
