Guest guest
Hi All, I am trying to study the horoscope of my nephew who just dropped out of University within 2 weeks of starting his 2nd year. Here are the birth details: Nov 23, 1990 Time:12:55am Toronto, Canada TimeZone:5 hours 79W23, 43N39 No DST correction required for this time. While I am looking at his chart, I do not see anything fundamentally wrong in his chart. 4th house to do with mental development seems ok, 5,2,9 houses all seem pretty ok and so are there lords and I am unable to clearly identify the root of the problem. I am resigned to attributing the problem to Rahu and currently debilitated Jupiter in transit and Rahu. The naitve has started Rahu mahadasa just a couple of years ago and running a Rahu major and minor period. For more than 1 year now, Rahu has been in his 6th house. I have gone back in time to look at the siutuation and I found Rahu back in Sept 2008(when he joined University) was within MEP of 6th house and Ketu in 12th house was exactly afflicting Mer in 4th house. But at that time the state of Jupiter was pretty good while it was in his own saggitarious and supporting 5th house, one of the houses for higher education. Looking at the present time, the transit Rahu just passed over the natal Rahu position in 6th house. Rahu had been around the 5deg mark for quite some time and just started moving a few weeks ago. But I do not know if this is sufficient to have caused my nephew to have dropped out of University within 2 weeks of starting the 2nd year! Rahu had already started to move by then, though rather slowly, but I would not have expected this. Needless to say, I am unable to conclusively find a reason for my nephew to have dropped out of school. In general, even before he started university, his parents have been complaining about this lack of interest in studies and yet I am unable to fiund a weakness that will help me identify the reasons for this. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks, Bhupendra.
Guest guest
Dear Bhupendra, I would like to put forth the following: the long presence of Rahu and Ketu over their natal positions and afflicting the natal Moon setup quite a lot of mental tension. The natal chart also shows badly placed Jupiter showing vulnerability to 5th lord of higher education, Jupiter also being general significator for good judgement is currently debilitated. Natal Saturn in 5th links relationship to Jupiter and this means that emotional romantic relationships are in play right now due to Moon affliction from Rahu ruling Jupiter ruling Saturn the 7th house lord. Please note that Venus is transiting 1st house. I am positing relationship problems triggered the decision. The strong Mercury aspecting 10th house MEP will help get him back to school once Rahu and Ketu stop influencing their natal poistions and leave 6th and 12th houses. Guest guest
Hi Paul, I am unable to understand your logic for suspecting some romantic relationship causing distress and causing my nephew to drop out of school. He is a very quite person and would not mingle easily with others. But I amy be wrong. I will try to investigate further on this. The current transit may explain the current situation, but from what I know, he has had problems at school even while he was still in secondary school.....complete lack of interest and will to study. I am unable to explain this from the chart. Thanks, Bhupendra. Guest guest
Dear Bhupendra: The badly placed natal Moon with a slight but nevertheless close influence of the natal Ra/Ke axis on it can cause problems with early childhood education and peace of mind (emotions) as the Moon in general represents those areas of life for your nephew. The natal Rahu conjunct the Moon (along with the natal Ketu aspect influence) can be felt more by your nephew during the Rahu/Rahu time and may contribute to such sudden decisions as this recent one he made to leave school. Natal Sun is under an exact aspect influence of natal Ketu from his 12th house which causes weakness for the Sun. The Sun represents his vitality, confidence, mental inclinations and also is another significator for higher education. Along with his poorly placed Jupiter both in transit and natally, the weak natal Sun can also cause setbacks with regard to his higher educational goals, especially when further afflicted. During the recent stationary Ra/Ke transit, the natal Sun was also under the exact influence of transit Ketu out of the 12th house of loss and separations. This double influence of natal and transit Ketu can bring a lot of stress to your nephew connected with the Sun significations. The Ketu transit influence has started to separate more but it is still within the 5 degree orb of influence on the already weak natal Sun. As Paul has correctly noted, he has a nice strong Mercury placement. This can be of help to him in connecting his higher educational professional status with his career. Wearing the Kavach for strengthening his Sun and Jupiter and propitiating his Moon, Rahu and Ketu will also help bring more relief to him in the future with regard to his higher educational goals and other areas of life. I hope this is of some further help to your analysis of your nephew's chart. Guest guest
Hello Bhupendra, Paul and Mary have already stated key points. I would like to stress the importance of reading the natal chart and analyzing the potential. The native has a weak and afflicted lord or higher education and basic education. The LO1 is exactly afflicted by Ketu. The bad placements of the axis and significator planets, is the reason for the strange behaviour in the Rahu main and subperiod. The trigger was the long standing affliction of the axis. In my view Mercury cannot help with higher education in the abscence of remedying these other planets. Mercury's impact manifests in its subperiod a number of years from now. Best regards, Vyas Munidas - " b_jamnadas " <b_jamna> <SystemsApproachToVedic Astrology > Thursday, October 01, 2009 10:16 AM [systemsApproachToVedic Astrology] Analysing Higher Education in a chart Hi All, I am trying to study the horoscope of my nephew who just dropped out of University within 2 weeks of starting his 2nd year.
