Guest guest
Hello Mr. Fraser, Jupiter in Leo is not the single factor for rise of gold prices. Gold prices is relative with price of crude, stocks, real estate, etc. Prolonged stay of Mars in Aries (its MT sign), Saturn ruling the black gold (crude) in royal sign of Cancer and Jupiter in the sign of luxuries - Libra concurrently, have all contributed to the rise in prices of gold, crude, real estate and stocks/equity. Best wishes, - " fraser " <fraser Friday, March 17, 2006 9:04 AM GOLD > Mr. Choudhry, > Sir, > > Though, Jupiter is not transiting through Leo presently, but is there > an astrological indication for the price of gold to reach new peaks > around May-June this year? Guest guest
Mr. Wong, Prafulla and Vyas Munidas: Looking at the interest and timeliness, let me first tackle the Gold question. I will think about the "Upcoming Weekly View", and reply to the question of First trade charts later. If you make chart for GOLD-LONDON FIX (2/19/1968, 9:40AM, London, 00:00GMT) with Ayanamsha of 22deg46min, instead of Lahiri Ayanamsha (you would need a value of 23:13 at custom preferrences in Jyotish Tools), you would get a chart with Aries rising at 26:15, and Moon in Libra at 14:08. Ayanamsha is modified merely to fit the dates of Gold price bottoms and peaks. The modified dasha you need is called Khandi dasha. It is one-halved Vimshottri dasha. That means the duration of every mahadasha is halved, but everything else is same. Thus the duration of Sun is 3 years, Moon is 5 years, etc. It represents 60 years cycle instead of 120 years cycle of our favorite Vimshottri. The first dasha was of Rahu which ended on 2/4/72. Jupiter dasha ran for 8 years from 2/4/72 to 2/4/80. Jupiter is FB, well placed, quite strong and aspected closely by FB Sun. The gold price rose from $48 to $637, about 13 times. Then came dasha of Saturn. Saturn is badly placed in the 12H. Gold dropped from $637 to $360, about one half in 9 1/2 years during 2/4/80 to 8/4/89. Mercury period ran from 8/4/89 to 2/4/97 for 8 1/2 years. Mercury is FM, weak and afflicted, although well placed. The gold stayed around $360, losing intrinsic value when compared to dollar. Then came Ketu dasha from 2/4/97 to 8/4/00. Ketu is MMP, badly placed, and on MEP. The price of Gold dropped from $360 to $277, losing significantly in terms of other currencies. The dasha of Venus started on 8/4/200 for 10 years. Venus is FB, quite strong and well placed. Gold has already moved from $277 to $700. In my view it can easily go to $1200 or more by the time Venus ends. Then would come the best Sun Dasha for 3 years, followed by equally good Moon dasha for 5 years. Go figure what could be the price of Gold on 8/4/18. These are my views based on a hypothetical generally unacceptable dasha system, and it is possible that the results may be quite contrary to my predictions. I ask for forgiveness if anybody is offended by the use of this dasha. This model is good only for looking at the long term price movements of the Gold, not short term. Other people may criticize, validate or expand the idea further. Please do your own research before putting your own money.ThanksRaj ChadhaVyas Munidas <muni> wrote: Dear Mr. Raj Chadha, By 'upcoming weekly view,' I meant direction for the week ahead. Nothing elaborate, just a paragraph. For example, "In this week started May 29, expect a fall overall in the index. Monday through Wednesdays are good for shorts, while Thursday from mid-day looks congested for the rest of the week, erring on the side of short. The best time to sell is 11am on Monday." I am busy with running a fund so I know that time is always an issue. To your other email today, the debate can continue for long time on whether the place is Washington, NY or Chicago, etc. By my suggestion above, one proves the validity of the chart in a real time. No one can argue with that approach. Additionally, I am interested in your modified Vimshottri dasha. You can email me off the list if you care to share it. As far as GOLD goes, I have been very accurate with transit chart and an understanding of the planets, signs and aspects. So it will be interesting to plot the natal you indicate and mate with the modified dasha. This is all about research so don't be afraid to pitch your ideas. If you get flak for it, no problem - we can discuss via email. God is the only one who has it all figured out, we just have little parts of it. Guest guest
Dear List, Gold kept positive with the Ju-Su aspect. It has moved over the 680 resistance to touch 685 today. With ex Sun in Aries, the positive bias should remain intact. As its dispositor Mars transits Aq with Sa badly placed, full benefit may not be there to cross the 730 mark, but a 15 dollar move towards 700 is well within the scope of gains. Best regards, Vyas Munidas - " Vyas Munidas " <muni> <SAMVA > Wednesday, April 04, 2007 2:03 PM GOLD Dear List, Ju-Su aspect is close from today; both planets are significators of gold. With other key planets weak or moving towards weakness, gravity is towards gold is likely. Illustrated today, it has hit the highest level in weeks. The potential exists for greater increases. Currently it's trading at 672. 680 is technical resistance; beyond there is the 690 and 700 level. A 25 dollar gain in a few trading days isn't uncommon. Guest guest
Dear Professor C, You have identified the Sun and Jupiter as the significators for Gold. It has made an all time price high and continues an upward trend when both planets are in their signs of debilitation. You have said that a debilitated planet loses 50% of its strength. Please give your view on how this has occurred according to astrological factors. Is there something new that you can share with us? Guest guest
Hello dear Mr. Smith, The prices of precious metals (gold) depends on so many factors in the global economy. At this particular time even the significaor of real estate and financial markets were also weak and debilitated. The lack of confidence in real estate, financial markets, currency, etc. inter alia other factors resulted in the rising price of gold. - jason smith SystemsApproachToVedic Astrology Friday, November 13, 2009 7:44 PM [systemsApproachToVedic Astrology] Gold Dear Professor C, You have identified the Sun and Jupiter as the significators for Gold. Guest guest
Dear Professor C, Are you concluding that there is no way to astrologically ascertain the trends in the gold market with the current global paradigm, and that the significators Jupiter and the Sun cannot simply be relied upon for predictions? My suspicion is that there is more to be read into the current debilitation of the Sun. This time Venus is in its own MTH lending strength. I would like to say cancellation of debilitation, but such terminology is unstable at best. Any insights would be appreciated. Guest guest
Hello dear Mr. Smith, When the gold was going up even for some time upto 3rd November, Venus was in its sign of debilitation. There is a natural phenomenon that when people lose confidence in all other forms of investments they prefer gold. Certainly, cancellation of debilitation is not the reason. - jason smith SystemsApproachToVedic Astrology Saturday, November 14, 2009 12:26 AM Re: [systemsApproachToVedic Astrology] Gold Dear Professor C, Are you concluding that there is no way to astrologically ascertain the trends in the gold market with the current global paradigm, and that the significators Jupiter and the Sun cannot simply be relied upon for predictions? Guest guest
Hello list members, We all know that the USA is the preeminent economic power in the world and many commodities are priced in US dollars. This internation role of the dollar has come under debate in recent months. This is in line with predictions concerning the transit station of 6th lord Jupiter over the natal 2nd lord Sun in the SAMVA USA chart. This affliction has been in place for some months but will soon lift. It was suggested that this transit would result in problems for the US financial position, manifesting either as a lower value of the dollar or higher interest rates. This could be associated with rising inflation expectations. In turn, this could be tied to the sharply increasing national debt of the USA. Indeed, these strains manifest as predicted. A corollary of the temporary reduced confidence in the US dollar is a rise in the value of gold. As most people do not own gold, this is not a general problem. The general problem is the value of the dollar. The rise in the gold price should therefore not be interpreted as reflecting the intrinsic value of gold but rather it is a reflection of the temporary weakness of the dollar. So, to look for astrological indications of gold strength at this time may be a misplaced effort. In the fourth week of November, when transit Jupiter is over 2° from its conjunction of natal Sun, transit Sun regains strength in transit, transit 10th lord Mars positively aspects natal Sun, and transit Venus moves away from natal Ketu while still in its own sign, we can see if some reversal has taken place in both the value of the dollar and gold. If so, it would suggest this transit station over the natal Sun in the USA chart is the dominant factor. Guest guest
Dear List, another reason was Saturn was restricting gold in leo for 2 and 1/2 years so when it entered Virgo, gold really popped; but beleive me as Professor says, year end profit taking and Rahu chaning signs, buy base metals instead or puts. lakshmi On Fri, Nov 13, 2009 at 9:44 PM, <vkchoudhry wrote: > > Hello RP, > > Other planets were/are weak.
