Tiger is world famous as one of the best if not the best golf player of all time. His 1st lord Mercury is of middling strength in the MEP of the 5th house, aspecting also his 11th house of income. His 4th lord Jupiter, ruling fixed assets, is well placed and strong in the 7th house of leisure and foreign travel. Explaining his success is, however, his 2nd lord Venus. It is strong in the MEP of the 3rd house of initiative where it aspects also the 9th house of fortune. Sun-Venus period is operating. He is married to a beautiful woman and has two children with her. In the past week, however, he has been publicly exposed as having had affairs with a dozen or so other beautiful women. The upheaval in his life at the moment is explained by his natal nodes in the 2nd and 8th houses, where they afflict all the odd numbered hosues. This placement is now exactly afflicted by transit stationary nodes in 4th and 10th house. The scandal began with what appeared to be an unlucky car incident near his home when his transit 1st lord Mercury in the 3rd house was opposite his natal 8th lord Mars. I have also been working on his chart, and your points nicely summarize the use of SA. I also pointed out to my students, the affliction of transit Rahu and Ketu to his natal Rahu and Ketu. (Good point you made on the affliction of transit Saturn to his natal Saturn.) May I ask if you also looked at the chart with a Leo rising, which is only five minutes earlier than the reported birth time? With Leo, he would have a strong Mars (sports/competition) in the tenth house of career. And, Saturn, ruling marriage, would be in the twelfth house, indicating both a spouse from a foreign land, and losses, expenses, and separations connected with this spouse. However, there are many other points against this being the proper chart, such as the badly placed second and fifth rulers, the affliction of the MMP to the tenth house, and the affliction of Rahu/Ketu to six of the twelve houses. I just wanted to see if you had already considered and dismissed the Leo chart. Thank you. The reported birth time seems to fit, giving Virgo rising. Interestingly, Tiger Woods would then share that ascendant with another celebrity that suddenly ran into problems in her private life, Britney Spears, which were hyped out of all proportion due to her celebrity status. Perhaps the media reacts this way due to their initial squeaky clean public image. Suddenly the news reveals them to be ordinary mortals, warts and all. His 1st lord Mercury on MEP of 5th house would give him dexterity and accuracy in a competitive " game " . The aspect to the 11th house would compensate somewhat for his debiitated 11th lord in 3rd house, giving some income. It is however, 2nd lord Venus on 3rd house, which is his real fortune. It gives him terrific " knowledege " of his actions. He is known to read a golf course uncannily well before a game and to use its every feature to his advantage. More importantly, the 2nd Venus (SLP in SLH aspecting another SLH) would give him more than ample wealth. He is reportedly worth $600 million. His 4th lord Jupiter in 7th house of leisure pursuits explains his " interest " in a leisurely activity like golf. The strong and well placed 4th lord also explains his ample fixed assets. Personally, I think he should not have married until he was mature enough to take on the responsibility of family life. Society has no problem with a wealthy athlete who is a bachelor and has many girlfriends. It's quite another issue however, if one is married.
