Dear Sharat ji,

According to the traditional Vedic astrology the 8th house signifies the debts.

Therefore an afflicted 8th house and its lord or the malefics placed in the 8th

house will indicate the debts. It is quite possible that the debts might be

accumulated during the dasha/antardasha of the planets influencing the 8th

house.

The ability to pay the debts back will have to be judged from the 5th house. If

the 5th house and its lord is strong in Rupbal, is occupied by benefics and is

not afflicted then there is every possibility that the debts will be paid back

in time and without any misery.

Apart from the 5th house, the 2nd house is also important because it signifies

the accumulated ‘dhan’ or the ability to save. Unless there is an ability to

save no debt can be paid back. After all the debt has to be paid back through

the savings, the money is not going to fall from the sky.

Jupiter and the Venus will be especially helpful in getting the debts paid off.

Therefore these two planets and their strength in rupbal should also be

examined.

God bless you

Bhooshan Priya

Respected Priya ji

I think that one has to analyse the 6th house for debts as per the vedic astrology. As far as eighth house is concerned, legacies, inheritance, sudden financial gains, wills are the positive side of this house while the negative side is long illnesses, cause of death, sexual and conjugal life.

However my question was whether Lal Kitab has anything on the subject.

warm regards

Dear Kursija ji and Sharat ji,

I believe that the 6th house is related to ‘sahukaara’

or lending money.

“Khana # 6 aam bartav mutallika duniya va khud :

sahukaara kundali ke khana # 6 se dekha jayegaâ€

[ 1952 urdu ed ; page 1102 ]

“mitra ketu budh 6 ve baithe, mard madad khud pata ho

shukra papi ki halat teve, vasool daulat jar hota hoâ€

[ 1952 urdu ed ; page 1101 ]

If in the 6th house the planets are friendly to mercury and

Ketu; and depending on the nature of venus and papi planets,

he gets natural help in recovering [ vasool ] the money and

property.

You are welcome to have your opinion. I do not intend to impose

my views on you.

There are no indications in the Lal Kitab about taking money

on loan and thus getting into debt. Like most scriptures it also

talks in terms of dhan laabh or dhan haani; poor or rich etc.

God bless you

Bhooshan Priya

Respected Goel Saheb,

Many thanks for explaining the panphar houses and their role in financial

matters.

Sir, you have very clearly defined the distinction between planned loan and the

unplanned loan.

Hello Bhaskar,

The weak sixth lord generates debts. In this case the managing capability is

given by the Jupiter, Mars, Venus and the Moon.
