Guest guest
Hello and fellow group member, I wanted to clear up an issue I ran into regarding dispositorship. For simplicity I have an example. If the Moon is the lord of a sun-like house and also is placed in the sign of Leo in the 4th house, then my understanding is that the Moon would be subject to a total of 50% increase in strength. So now if the Sun is at 2 degrees of Libra what would be the sum total of the Moon's strength, as a planet can not be stronger the its dispositor, right? So would the Moon, despite being subject to a boost in strength diminished to 40% strength and the sun-like bonuses are ignored? Or is tne Moon's strength initially lowered to 40% and then given the 50% boost to end with 60%? Consequently, in determining the strength of a planet do we consider placement, debilitation, combustion, exaltation, dispositorship, and navamsa strength before we consider affliction from malefics. I only ask because I notice on the systems' website the free online charts always show a planet as strong even though it may be afflicted despite its strength is the nativity and the navamsa. So for instance if the Sun is in Aries in the 1st house conjunct Mars could I accurately say that the Sun and Mars are STRONG but afflicted if the MEP of the first house is afflicted by Mercury in the 7th? This is a mouthful I know but a little assistance with procedure would be appreciated. Thank You so much, Shawn

Or is tne Moon's strength initially lowered to 40% and then given the 50% boost to end with 60%? NO. Consequently, in determining the strength of a planet do we consider placement, debilitation, combustion, exaltation, dispositorship, and navamsa strength before we consider affliction from malefics. YES. I only ask because I notice on the systems' website the free online charts always show a planet as strong even though it may be afflicted despite its strength is the nativity and the navamsa. THAT SOFTWARE IS NOT UPDATED TO THE LATEST SA RULES. So for instance if the Sun is in Aries in the 1st house conjunct Mars could I accurately say that the Sun and Mars are STRONG but afflicted if the MEP of the first house is afflicted by Mercury in the 7th? ONCE A PLANET IS AFFLICTED IT DOES NOT REMAIN STRONG. This is a mouthful I know but a little assistance with procedure would be appreciated. Guest guest
Dear Professor, When FB planets is weak in natal, its orb of affliction by FM is 5 degree in transit eventhough it is Strong (not weak in any other way) in transit. Note: The planet in question is Strong in transit before affliction. When this Strong planet's transit position is afflicted by transit Rahu/Ketu axis with an orb of affliction of between 2-5 degree range, it is considered afflicted. Question is when there are other planets placed in its mooltrikona sign, lets say at 9 degree, will these other planets be considered Strong or Weak? i.e Jupiter & Saturn strength natal: 11:20PM 27 march 1980,100e30 5n39, TimeZone:0730 transit: 16:00PM 1 feb 2010 Regards, Asaithambe SystemsApproachToVedic Astrology , " " <vkchoudhry wrote: > > Hello Shawn, > > I add my replies to your Qs in your appended msg. > > > www.YourNetAstrologer.com > A-105, South City II, Gurgaon 122018-01, (India). > Mobile phone: 91 9811016333 > - > blupnthr16 > SystemsApproachToVedic Astrology > Tuesday, March 23, 2010 3:28 AM > [systemsApproachToVedic Astrology] Question of dispositorship > > > > Hello and fellow group member, > > I wanted to clear up an issue I ran into regarding dispositorship.
