Guest guest
Kanak, Many thanks for the reply. I believe that in fact I already do have the ayanamsa file. By the way I found it impossible to decipher on my computer due to the .pdf format and I only managed a mixed up version through my wife's apple computer and her software. Fortunately I was able to reconstruct this. It would be better in a more popular format, as I suspect not many members will have the required software to convert. One thing puzzles me and that is that the table shows for era 1900 - 22*22'30 " , and in a private post Mr Raichur gave the formula: " SO FOR 1ST JAN 1900, THE AYAN= 22+1335/3600 DEGREES. " unless my mathematics are wrong this equates to 22*22'15 " . This is interesting in that in my search I ended up with 22*22'14 " which I have been using. One would expect that with such close co-relation there would be no difference between Mr Raichur's program and my programs; but there is - in that subs sometimes change. All the best Ron Gaunt Dear Ron, i posted ayanamsa table in file section of kp_group . in .pdf formet. go to file section for ayanamsa table. kanak bosmia >Yogesh Rao Lajmi <lyrastro1 > > >Re: Re: Which is the best software program for KP - KPBC1 & A TEST- >Tue, 9 Nov 2004 06:10:34 +0000 (GMT) > >Dear Ron, > The entire list of the new Ayanamsas, have been reproduced by Shri Bosmia in k_p_...some only a few days ago...However the list is available in the 2003 Annual of K.P. & Astrology,pp 92-93. > If I can retrieve the list I shall mail it to you... > With best wishes, > lyrastro1 > GOOD LUCK ! Guest guest
Dear Ron The new list given by Prof Bhalchandra, rounds of the figures. so list is in 30 sec. or 0 secs. My formula calculates to the nearest rounded second. In actual practice, I compute the ayanamsa correct to the nearest date, although this may not be fully justified. Your Search given you 22,..14secs. This is acceptable. Normally such minor variation does not affect even the SUB-Lord, except in border line cases. We can discuss borderlines as a seperate subject. good luck rongaunt <rongaunt wrote: Kanak,Many thanks for the reply. I believe that in fact I already dohave the ayanamsa file.
