In 6th Reader (Horary Astrology) 9th Edition on page 97 the

author states to arrive at the correct Lagna one must add the

current ayanamsa to the position given by the respective Number.

The example quotes Number 48 ie 8 Gemini 40 plus ayanamsa 23*20'

added being 11th Dec 1969 to arrive at 2* Cancer 00'.

Subsequent examples in the book ignore adding the ayanamsa and

simply uses the Lagna indicated by the Number.

I ask members how they cast such charts and whether they have

ever checked the difference between the two methods, and with

what conclusions?

The KP Horary Numbers give the NIRAYAN ASC of the Horary Number. There is no question of adding or deleting the Ayanamsa, unless you want the Sayana Asc, in which case you add the Current Ayanamsarongaunt <rongaunt wrote:

Anant,

Thanks for your reply. Silly me. I was skimming and missed

the preceeding paragraph. Should have realised.

All the best
