Guest guest
This weeks Blind Chart is interesting in that it is in 'real time' ie for an event that has not yet occurred. Every year in Australia all the States and Territories have a competition to choose an outstanding person, as their States representative to go forward to be judged for an award as 'Australian of the Year'. Queensland (my home state) has chosen a friend of myself and my wife as 'Queenslander of the Year'. He goes forward to the national competition where the winner will be announced as 'Australian of the Year' around 5:45pm on the 25th Jan 2005 in Sydney. The public announcement will be the following day on 'Australia Day'. Details of our friend are as follows: Name: Bill Bristow DOB: 20th March 1944 3:00 am AEDT -11:00 Sydney, Australia 33 S 52, 151 E 13. Asc 15 Cap 30'20 " Geocentric angles. KP Here are a few details: Bill is part owner of the major advertising agency in Queensland. He is a keen pilot, which has led him towards this award. See http://www.australianoftheyear.gov.au/nationalfinalists-2005.asp He won Queenslander of the year award on 25/11/2004 in Brisbane about 7:30pm. married 3:15pm 31st Dec 1970 two sons born 19th Feb 1974 and 10th Dec 1974 As you will see from the above site he has some strong competition including Nicole Kidman international film star who also does charity work. The question is: Will he win the award of 'Australian of the Year 2005' ? If the answer is No, who among the other finalists shown on the above site will be the winner? I do not have birth details for the other contestants however, this could be a good time to test your Prasna techniques. Please post your answer direct to the List by Monday 24th Jan 05, 00:00 am GMT Ron Gaunt PS: In view of the even (3:00am) birth time provided, members may like to attempt a prasna rectification and share the result with other members. Guest guest
>PS: In view of the even (3:00am) birth time provided, members may like to attempt a prasna rectification and share the result with other members.< Ron, My ruling planets for 18 Jan 2005 at 12.29.14 when I saw your message are as follows 27S28 153E02 TZ10 Asc 9Ar+ ASC Ma Ke Sa +Ra +Me MO Ma Ve Ve DAY Ma The ascendent nakshatra is most probably Mars ie the ascendent is 23Cp20+ I would look in the range 23Cp20 to 26Cp06:40 An interesting point about this chart is that the person is a keen pilot. Often but not always there is a key planet or point in a pakshi drekkana for a person who has a love of flying. Venus is just past the 1st drekkana of Aquarius. The only way to get it there is to move the birth time back one day. The other possibility is to move the ascendent to the first drekkana of Aquarius. I wouldn't go this far because I believe the rising navamsha is Leo and the rising Saptamsha is Sag based on the data for marriage and children. This leaves a doubt as to the day of birth but only a small one. In any case the 10th lord Ve will be in the air sign Aquarius and the 10th house of the D10 will be Aquarius at an Ascendent degree of 24 Capricorn. This may now allow one to make a prediction from the natal chart. Regards RonD

Guest guest
Dear Kanak, I am wondering why you did not include 6th Sub Lord Venus as significator for the 6th house being in the Star of Rahu occupant of 6H? If you overlooked this, does it change your assessment? Also I was wondering why you might consider how he won the competition for Queenslander of the year on 25th Nov 04 when his dasas are the same MD and Bhukti?. Antar Lord was Rahu instead of Jupiter but both are significators of the 6th house. Guest guest
Dear Ron Gaunt, As far as I understand, sublord is not a signifcator, it is a deciding factor whether the matter (signified by planet and starlord) is favorable or not. My judgement is based on " 1,2,3,6,10 and 11 are the houses for success in one's competition " without relying Sbl of 6th cusp. Guest guest
CHART DETAILS The first thing I noticed about Bill's chart was exalted Jupiter, Pluto and Rahu in close conjunction near the Cusp of the 7th House. The Ebertin definition of the 'Psychological Correspondence' for Rahu conjoined Pluto is 'the urge to seek contacts with many people, the wish to become a public figure or to exercise an influence upon other people'. The urge is expressed through the advertising agency he started which quickly became the largest in Queensland. Jupiter and Pluto are often in this position in cases of successful self made business people. Bill is very successful in his contacts with other people but he certainly does not push himself forward. He always tries to avoid being up front, asking my wife who is his Public Relations Officer to avoid exposure for himself. He is however, willing to get involved if it is for his charity work in Angel Flight.. I suspect this is because of his 12th house Moon. Some astrologers would in fact say that the Moon is weak in this position, especially as it is in extreme old age. However the Moon's dispositor Jupiter is strong by sign and position. Mars and Saturn are in close conjunction in the 5th House and are important as they are both in the Star of Mars Lord of the 11th House of success and fulfillment of desires. Mars is in fact Badhaka (death creating) for Cardinal Ascendant sign Capricorn and will need to be carefully watched particularly as it is close conjunct Maraka Saturn (another death creating planet). However this should not be a problem before the start of Mars M.Dasa starting in December 2010. Prior to this date Bill should get the benefits of an 11th house Lord coupled to the prestige of 1st and 2nd house Lord Saturn. A planet that plays a great part in Bill's life is Ketu. This is because it is in one of the two most powerful places in any chart - Just above the Ascendant. Ketu proxies for sign lord Saturn, which is Lord of both the 1st and 2nd house. Thus making it an extremely important personal and enriching planet. It is also in the Star and Sub of Moon which is Lord of the 7th house. So we see that he is enriched by his partnerships which is correct. We will also see how important Ketu has been to his recent public recognition. SOLAR ECLIPSE 14 OCT 2004 The S.E. covers both periods when he is judged for 'Queenslander of the Year' on 25 Nov 2004 and " Australian of the Year on 25th Jan 2005. The S.E. point is exactly trine to natal Mars and Saturn which are in the Star of Mars. Mars is Lord of the 11th House So wishes are highlighted and likely to be met because both subs are benefic. Also 11th House Star is Saturn Lord of H1 and H2 so is desires and wishes relate to himself, family and assets. Sub is Mars its own 11th House ruler. S.E. Jupiter closely aspects natal benefic Ketu, both in the Star of Moon Lord of the 7th, so showing partners involvement. My wife and his partners put him up for consideration for the award. SE Jupiter also opposes natal Sun and Mercury showing increase in personal prestige. Natal Sun and Mercury are both in the Star of Saturn - again signifying 1st and 2nd House. S.E. Ketu comes close conjunction natal 10th House Cusp showing public recognition . This is enhanced by Ketu being exact trine aspect to natal Venus on the cusp of the 2nd house. Both are in Rahu Star and Jupiter Sub. Rahu is in the Star of Saturn Lord of the 1st and 2nd Houses so this is enhanced personal recognition. The S.E clearly shows that Bill is a candidate for public recognition prior to the next S.E. TRANSITS FOR PERIOD 25 NOV 2004 (QUEENSLANDER OF THE YEAR) Transit Venus came close conjunct natal 10th house Cusp and conjunct S.E. Ketu trine natal Venus so activating natal MC and Venus and SE Ketu. Transit Ketu approached close aspect to natal Mars which as Lord of 11th shows realization of wishes and desires. Transit Mars came exact conjunction with 10th house Rasi Lagna (same degree as natal Ascendant). This shows 11th house desires being obtained for recognition and status (10th house) Transiting Asc was close conjunction natal Saturn Mars conjunction at the time of the announcement of him as Queenslander of the Year. Dasas for the event were Saturn Mercury Rahu Mars SE Mercury exactly aspected natal Mars and went on to exactly oppose natal Mars on the day of the announcement. Mars in close conjunction with Saturn comes under its domination. Rahu is in the star of Saturn. TRANSITS FOR 25TH JANUARY 2005 (AUSTRALIAN OF THE YEAR) We have seen that the promise of the S.E. was easily fulfilled by the transits on the day of the competition for Queenslander of the year. Does this still hold good for the day of selection for Australian of the year? Remember Ketu is Bill's ace in the hole, together with his strong Mars and Saturn natal conjunction. On 25th Jan 2005 Bill's powerful nodal axis is lit up by an EXACT new Moon which culminates at 7:09:20pm. The transit Sun is conjunct natal Ketu in the Star of Moon. As it is also in the Sub Mars it gives the go ahead for releasing the promise of Ketu. Transit Moon is conjunct natal Rahu in the Star of Saturn showing and emphasizing Bills status, as Lord of 1st and 2nd House. Moon is also in the Sub of Venus. This shows great public exposure and recognition. Transit Ketu which was exactly conjunct S.E. MC has moved on to exactly aspect the all important natal Mars. Both transit Ketu and natal Mars are in the Star of 11th house Lord Mars and Sub of 10th house Lord Venus. So here we see success recognition and prestige highlighted. Transit Jupiter which closely aspected natal Ketu in the S.E., goes on to aspect natal Saturn again both in the star of 11th house Lord Mars. Transit Jupiter is in the Sub of powerful Rahu which again relates to increase in status as Star Lord is Saturn Lord of 1st and 2nd houses. Natal Saturn is in the Sub of greater benefic and exalted Jupiter. Transit Mars Lord of the 11th house is situated there, and exactly apposes natal Saturn which is highly beneficial for recognition. Transit Ascendant comes exact conjunction with natal Saturn at 5:28:28 pm around the time of the expected announcement of the winner. Transit MC trines natal Jupiter Dasas for the event are Saturn Mercury Jupiter and Mars. Saturn and Mercury are the same as for 25th November 04 above. Jupiter and Mars are very active as we have seen in the assessment for this event. CONCLUSION The promise of the S.E is maintained for both events. The impact of transit Venus conjunct natal MC on the 25th Nov 04 is missing for the 25th January 05. However, the all important Ketu transit on the 25th January comes exact aspect with another very important planet natal Mars Lord of the 11th House. This was a much wider orb for the earlier event. Also transit Jupiter's aspect to natal Saturn for the 25th January is likely to be more effective than its aspect to natal Ascendant on the 25th November 05. The reason for this is that the former is applying whilst the latter is separating. Bill's main competitors would appear to be Nicole Kidman, and Dr Fiona Wood MA. Both have very high exposure. Nicole is a well known international film star with recent awards and oscars to her credit. Dr Wood had great publicity as Director of the Burns Unit looking after patients after the Bali bombing. Both were assessed as 'Australian Living Treasures' on 14th March 2003. Unfortunately I have been unable to find a time of birth for Nicole, and I can't even find the day of birth for Dr Wood so comparison with Bill is not possible. It is important to bear in mind that all nominees will have had a boost from the last Solar Eclipse - or else they would not have won nomination by their States. The question is whether the ongoing relevant transits have played their course in respect to their natal charts, or are due to climax on the 25th January 05. For Bill the SE, dasas and transits all tell the same story. Fortunately Bill's relevant transits ARE climaxing, so he has a very good chance of becoming Australian of the Year. Lacking details of the other candidates it is difficult to be certain. But as it will take an exceptionally good chart to beat Bill's. As an experiment I did a prasna. The question being 'Will Bill Bristow become Australian of the year this year?'. Date 24th January 05 time 12:00:09 pm Brisbane Australia KP No. 212. Ruling planets were Day Moon, Lagna Saturn and Mars, Rasi Mercury and Jupiter. The 6th sub Lord is Mercury which is strong significator for the 11th house showing wishes being realized and opponents vanquished. Dasas are Jupiter Mercury Saturn and Venus. All these planets are significators of the 11th house!! Also Jupiter and Saturn are significators of the 2nd house of status and increase. Jupiter and Mars are also significators of the 10th house of status, prestige and honors. Note also that the Ruling planets were exactly the same as the dasas ie Jupiter, Mercury and Saturn. On the above information I therefore think that Bill Bristow will become Australian of the Year notwithstanding his stiff opposition. House 11, Badhakaasthana for movable sign, in one's lifetime promises realisation of ambition, success and prosterity (How to Judge a Nativity, K. Hariharan, p 8). Guest guest
et al, Unfortunately, Bill Bristow was not named Australian of the year. The honor went to Dr Fiona Wood. I would like to see her chart as she has had tremendous backing and honors over the last couple of years or so. In Bill's Chart I think the ongoing transit of Venus for today was the problem. In his natal chart, Venus is the only significator for the 10th house of honors and recognition. It was beautifully placed in transit for his nomination as Queenslander of the year being on the cusp of the 10th house and exactly trine natal Venus. Both natal and transit Venus being in the Star of Rahu and Sub of Jupiter which are both great benefics for Bill. However, today Venus is in the 12th house with only a wide conjunction to natal Moon. I had hoped that being in the Star of Venus significator of the 10th H, and sub of Mercury significator of the 1st, 2nd,3rd,5th and 9th houses this would not prove to much of a problem. I thought that the excellent Ketu and Jupiter transits and aspects to natal Mars Saturn conjunction all in the Star of 11th house Lord Mars would make up for the lesser effect of Venus. Whilst status can be 1st, 2nd or 10th house, there appears to be a clear distinction that 1st and 2nd house is more personal, and 10th is status with great public exposure. Unfortunately Bill's 10th just wasn't activated today. Congratulations to Kanak, Upahhyaya and tw who got it right. Ron Gaunt .................................................................................\ ....................... Assessments are as follows: KANAK Dear Ron, If 6th cusp sub signify 6,11 then one will win . 6th Sub is VEN in 2nd & Lord of 5,10. in the star of RAHU ,RAHU is in 6th & VEN is in sub of JUP. JUP is in 7th & Lord of 3 & 12th. Present DBAS is SAT-MER-JUP-MER up to 27,1,2005 MER is in 3 lord of 7 & 9th. starlord of MER is SAT & SAT is in 5th(11TH of opponent) lord of 1 & 2. Sub lord of MER is KET . KET is in 12th (Aspected by MAR & JUP.MAR is in 5th lord of 11th & 4th. JUP is in 7th & Lord of 12th.) transit: Moon @5;45PM on 25/1/2005 in SAT star and VEN sub .SAT is in 5th (opponent gain.) dasa lord SAT is in star of JUP(lord of 12th) and sub of sun.(lord of 8th) Bhukti Lord is MER is in star of SUN and Sub of MOON (Moon is in 12th) Antra lord JUP is in star of MAR(in 5th) and Suksmatha is MER So my answer is NO. His nearby competitor will win. UPADHAYA Dear Members, Bill Bristow will not win this competition. Please find my analysis and provide your suggestions. Guest guest
Dear All, 1. Msg #2382: My judgement is based on " 1,2,3,6,10 and 11 are the houses for success in one's competition " without relying Sbl of 6th cusp. (KP Reader III, p 222) 2. Both dasa sequence and transit are clearly showing against the gaining houses 1,2,3,6,10 & 11 by the significators and the deciding unfavorable subs. 5.
