Yes, the afflicted 5th house effecting progeny comes under the

Shraap catagory. This shraap can be of the ancestors or snakes. some

of the common vedic astrology combinations are :

Bhrigu Sutram Ch.1 Shl. 51-59: If the Sun is in the fifth house and

the Sun is associated with Rahu or Ketu, there will be loss of

children due to curse of the Serpent god.

Bhrigu Sutram Ch.5 Shl. 24-31: If Jupiter in the fifth house is

associated with Rahu or Ketu, the native will suffer loss of his

children on account of the wrath of Serpent god.

sarp ki seva hai. aisa karne se sarp ka aasheervad milega aur shraap

se mukti milegi' releasing a snake into the wild is a virtuous act

which will get one the blessings of a snake and free him from the

Dear Kulbir,

In western Uttar Pradesh a proper cremation on fire is done for a

dead snake. A snake is considered a Hindu and therefore not buried.

If the snake is killed by a Brahmin, the ritual goes even further

where the Brahmin has to get his head shaved also indicating that

one of his Gotra person had died.

Dear Kulbir,

Thank you for adding one more upaya. Yes ' sarp ko mukta karana bhi

sarp ki seva hai. aisa karne se sarp ka aasheervad milega aur shraap

se mukti milegi' releasing a snake into the wild is a virtuous act

which will get one the blessings of a snake and free him from the

shackles of the curse.

Dear Kulbir,

In western Uttar Pradesh a proper cremation on fire is done for a

dead snake. A snake is considered a Hindu and therefore not buried.

If the snake is killed by a Brahmin, the ritual goes even further

where the Brahmin has to get his head shaved also indicating that

one of his Gotra person had died.
