Guest guest
Dear Ron, This list is moderated for most of the members. Hence the delay sometimes. I understand that it disturbs the continuity of discussion but right now I don't have any other solution. You have already seen the way people behave (remember 'kpstellar' mailing list, that has happened in this list too) and it become nearly impossible to keep so big a list unmoderated. As this forum is growing with a good pace, I am looking for some alternate solutions. The first one which I am planning to try is to add more moderators. Another idea is to set up one core group (with few members) who can decide about the group matters and moderate. I did it in my another forum with good success. I am open to all kind of suggestions. If you have any idea to make it a better discussion place, feel free to write me. Thanks & Regards, Punit Pandey On 7/17/05, rongaunt au <rongaunt wrote: Dear Punit,I have noticed for some time now that mails I send to the listare considerably delayed sometimes for two days. Guest guest
Dear Punit Pandey, Since you have asked for some suggestions, I am offering same for consideration of the group. 1. mails sent are not seen on the site due to 2 reasons, a) those which falls in the domain of , b) those being moderated. 2 For those within domain of can be corrected from your end. 3 For those being moderated by you, there can be reservations from your end, which could be possibility of acrimony, improper language, issues not pertaining to group activity. I feel except in cases of use of acrimonious language , affecting the astrological discussions, the rest should appear without delay. This happens in other groups. Guidelines can be fixed by you in consultation with few mature astrologers, who evidently need no special mention. 4. Once the guidelines are in place, the cause for moderation will be minimal/nil. 5. On paper, it appears the membership is large, which in reality is not true. The " active list " is generally less than 30. Guest guest
Dear Moderator of group, I am finding that the subject header of mails does not contain the identification of the group from where the mails are originating. Because of this reason, I am not able to sort out the mails in outlook express. As an example, mails should have the subject header look like planets of luck....... If that is resorted, it eases the life to know where from the mail is coming and it is sortable. I request the moderator to look into it and oblige. Thanks, Vijay Kumar

Guest guest
Dear Manoj, Let us keep our discussion to Astrology and leave the administration to me. I am not perfect, but do my job with utmost care for the members, including yourself. I would appreciate if you can show same level of respect. regards, raj Dear Moderator, The warning given out by you is well taken. But is it not coming a bit too late? I have offerred you my comments in private as well as in mains, but you chose to ignore it. There was one set of people who targetted and attacked one set of people in the mains and you allowed it but your blunted the rejoineders. You are here because we are here. The moment we all decide to desert you then perhaps you would be left with only few self propogating persons who do not have any astrology to share but to attack stalwarts of astrology like Mr. K.N. Rao and Mr. B.V. Raman and even lower minions. Here itself in your group, a warning was given out to some people by these self propogating persons to meet in the lobby of Hyat Regency and that they will taught a lesson because someone belongs to some place and it was allowed, is it moderation? So, do please formulate some policies about moderation or else decide what you wish to do with your group and from the preamble of the group, you will have to remove the name of Mr. K.N. Rao, in whose name you are soliciting members for your group. Tomorrow if all of us decide to be away from this group, what are you going to do. If you have any honesty and sincerity, please publish this in the group, otherwise we shall know what stuff are you made off, because i am sending copy of this mail to majority of known astrologers. Today, Mr. K.N. Rao, tomorrow, Mr. B.V. Ram, then, Me, then other known names in astrology, these fools are trying to malign and you allow it but when rejoinders come, you say it is personal. Mr. Utkal Panigrahi, Mr. Lalit Mishra, Mr. Pawan Maurya (meerut), Mr. Dinesh Dhingra and others tried to attack me in disguise but they were fools, misguided people. So please do decide, it is in your interest. regards, Manoj
Guest guest
Dear Mr Raj, Like shashi tharoor, this guy manoj has become a burden, these guys(mouji, nandy etc) have no calibre nor interest in jyotish but their aim is to suppress that jyotish researches and predictions which their school couldnt do. Their membership doesn't have importance, they are the fear products engaged in distraction. If they dont behave in acceptable manner, wd be good to show them the door.
