Guest guest
Respected Singh Saheb, Lots of misconceptions about the Lal Kitab have arisen due to personal interpretations done by the scholars. In the past there has never been an effort to reach a consensus on such crucial issues as doing daily pooja at home. In most of the Hindu homes there has always been a tradition of doing daily pooja. Asking some one to stop doing pooja, some thing he has been brought up with, could be very dangerous and counter productive. This could result in a very traumatic experience for the native. Having said that, let me come to your queries. It is not true that pooja path is prohibited for some one born with Jupiter in the 12th house. On the contrary the book recommends that along with other things pooja path will give nek asar [ benefic results ] Page 299 of the 1952 Lal Kitab ed: The very first statement of the nek halat is: jati kismet ka nek asar bajriya yog, tapasya, pooja path hoga So much so that the book further says that a native with Jupiter in the 12th house should never break his routine of doing pooja every day. The book instructs such natives that if they go far away from home to the house of a relative he should find a dharma sthan and continue with his every day pooja. This is what the book says: Page 300 , point no 16 , 1952 urdu ed. kisi doosre ke yahan mehman gaya hua, dharma sthan mein pooja path karta hua . hamesh uttam hoga, grahasti sukh sagar milega Therefore I will leave it to you to decide through their own discretion. Personally we are against any kind of prohibition on daily pooja at home, be it for astrological reasons or any other reason, specially for those who are brought up with the tradition of daily pooja at home. Now coming to your next question on Chup Samadhi. This term occurs on page 298 for Jupiter in the 12th house. The book says : chup samadhi varsha sone ki , dharma kanda diya bolta ho the habit of meditation will give him wealth, and leading a virtuous life will give him peace at night The word chup samadhi means dhyan or meditation. Even in the Vedic astrology it is said that Jupiter placed in the 12th house would encourage the native to seek salvation of course it would depend on how the Ketu is placed. In the case of a native with Jupiter in the 12th house dhyan or chup samadhi is recommended over and above his every day pooja. Pooja and dhyan or meditation are complimentary to each other. They are not exclusive to each other. With Regards, Varun Trivedi Chat on a cool, new interface. No download required.
Guest guest
Dear Kulbir bhai, A fantastic insight. Some thing that didn't strike me. Sure mercury would get involved. Mercury creeping into the activity of Jupiter. Definitely such an activity will be less forceful than unadulterated jupiter activity. Guest guest
Dear Kulbir bhai, Patience and belief in Godly help could be more akin to 'sanyam' than 'samadhi'. Both patience and belief are passive concepts. Samadhi or meditation is some thing you do[ non-passive] or practice intentionally. It is kind of an every day ritual.
