Guest guest
Respected Gill ji, These two upaya are for two different situations, and serve different purposes; in other words the aim of these two upaya is different. Saturn placed in the 7th house is considered as exalted. Being exalted it should be giving good results. If it doesn’t give good results than there could be two reasons for it. It is either dormant [ soya hua ] or is afflicted by some planet. It will be dormant if there is no planet in the 1st house. On the other hand a planet from the 1st house can afflict it. Therefore, in the first case the upaya will have to be to awaken the Saturn, where as in the second case the malefic part of the Saturn, caused by affliction, will have to be destroyed. Mars awakens the 1st house; therefore keeping a little honey at home will awaken the Saturn in the 7th house. In case the Saturn is afflicted then burying a flute [mercury] filled with little khand [ country sugar ] representing Mars will be the upaya. Mars + mercury form the Saturn malefic or Rahu swabhav. Thus by burying a flute filled with khand will result in destroying the malefic component of the Saturn. I hope to hear from other experts if they have any other explanation for these two upaya.
