Guest guest
Respected Kiranjit ji, The remedy is mentioned in the book for moon in the 12th while there is mercury in the 2nd. The logic is quite understandable. For moon in the 12th the book has advised “ meh ka paani sahayak hoga†to keep at home a little rain water. In this case where the mercury is in the 2nd , a pakka ghar of Jupiter , the rain water or for that matter any water should not be kept in a utensil which could represent a mercury and therefore the use of sponge has been advised. This also makes sense because the moon is placed in the 12th , a house where mercury is in debility. Since the natural sea sponge will not be easily available, we believe that foam which doesn’t have a shape of mercury can be used for this upaya. We haven’t come across this sponge upaya for moon in the 1st house along with mercury in the 2nd house. Even if it were true, we fail to understand the logic. Could you please let us know why could the water in sponge upaya might have been suggested for Moon in the 1st house along with mercury in the 2nd house? Guest guest
dear Varun ji, I do not know the reasons; but the remedy was suggested by respected pundit ji himself with moon 1 and Budh2. The natural sponge was freely used in my childhood to wipe clean the slates over which v used to write with 'saleti'(Chalk) and was easily available. One reason for its use in remedy could be that it was green in colour.May be the foam used should be of green colour.Sponge has ben defined as a marine growth used to absorb liquids. The question raised by dear Yograjji has not been touched in discussion. Please comment upon the duration of the remedy. with best wishes; sincerely, kiranjeet
Guest guest
Respected Kiranjit ji, Thank you sir for the information you gave on sponge. Never knew that a natural sponge could be green too. The one I knew about was grey. As for the duration of upaya, I think it should have been 43 days; 40 statutory days + 3 riyatee days. This number of 43 has been well defined and explained in the book. I do not see any logic for 100 days. Till I find a logic for 100 days I will not be able to accept it. As for the same upaya for moon in the 1st and the mercury in the 2nd will be logical and perfectly justified only if the Lagna is Gemini [ mithun ]. In that case the moon will be in the rasi of the mercury where as the mercury will be in the rasi of the moon [ Cancer ] . In this situation it could be advisable to use a water container which does not have a mercury shape. This is vedic astrology argument which we accept as valid. In vedic jyotish this parivartan yog between the two will weaken the moon which if stored [ water ] in a container of mercury shape, will further damage the moon in stead of helping it. Guest guest
gurudev, i was working on mangal nek and rahu's friendship's application as told by ur gud self. it indeed works in interpreating relations so i couldn't go into this sponge remedy in detail. but just a thought occured, the remedy of keeping silver nose ring is for 96/100 days duration. could that principle be extended here also. regards kulbirbance. , " varun_trvd " <varun_trvd wrote: > > Respected Kiranjit ji, > > Thank you sir for the information you gave on sponge.
