Inauspicious planetary switch on May 5-6?

Hello friends,I had overheard a few news channels talking about a major planetary switch between May 5-6, 2008. These so-called scholars concluded it to be very ominous and inauspicious. They prophesied escalation in negative activity like natural disasters (especially earthquakes), terrorism and political turmoils. I just ignored the naysayers as paranoia-feeding doomsday cult, cashing-in on the media attention. But after the events like Burma cyclone, China earthquake, Jaipur bomb blasts in a very short time, that prophecy is striking my mind again and again. Can some learned experts here verify or re-assess their claims?
