LK discussion group Is the 12th house a roof of a house?

Dear Vipin Ji & Pt Bhooshan Ji,There is a confusion here. Pt Krishan Ashant in his book said that if drishti path exists then and then only upaya is carried out. In this very case Venus in 4 does not have drishti path to house no 12.therefore i doubt that the roof is considered as 12. It should be house no 10.

In the chapter of SHUKKAR KHANA 4 u can read that - AGAR KHUD SHUKKAR (aurat) KI HEE SEHAT BARBAAD HO TO TALAAB KI MITTI (CHIKADEE ) CHHAT PAR LAGAAIN.

Means the mud of a pond shud be pasted at roof.This remedy is

adviced to make venus exalted U know that Mud is the ASHIA of SHUKKAR

(exalted)SHUKKAR will help to recover the health of wife.It indicates

that by keeping the mud on the roof means that the intention of Pandit

ji is to get Venus established in Khana no. 12 , Its place of exaltation

Dear Varun Ji,As per lalkitab 1952 Chhat(roof) is signified by house no 8.The logic to consider roof as house 12 for having it opened to sky does not hold good. as the land is also opened to sky. It is my opinion I may be wrong

Yes, there will be a difference. A roof is the top which is open to

the sky and that is why it can be considered as house # 12. A ceiling

is the underneath which is not open to the sky therefore it can not

be considered as house # 12.
