Dear members,

Many times astrologers gets confused with yogini dasa with 35-sala

cycle of LK.

Here i am giving the brief introduction about Yogini dasa.

----------------------------

S.no : Order of Yoginis,: their lords and : dasa periods :

----------------------------

1. Mangala Moon 1 year

2. Pingala Sun 2 years

3. Dhanya Jupiter 3 years

4. Bhramari Mars 4 years

5. Bhadrika Mercury 5 years

6. Ulka Saturn 6 years

7. Siddha Venus 7 years

8. Sankata Rahu 8 years.

----------------------------

It should be noted that their is no dasa of ketu.

Calculation of Yogini dasha :

Note the nakshatra NUMBER of moon, taking Ashwini nakshtra NUMBER 1

(27 nakshatra scheme). Add three to it. Divide it by eight. The

remainder represent the Yogini dasha operative at the time of birth as

per the table given ablove. for eg if remainder is i than mangala or

if 8 or 0 than it is sankata.

Y.D. at birth = (Nak. NO. of the moon + 3) / 8.

remainder will say the starting dasha.

The balance of dasha is dependent on the degree remaining to be

traversed by the Moon in its nakshatra. (similar calculation concept

as per vimsottari dasa)

Now it should be noted that in this system there is no dasha of ketu

whereas in LK 35 saala cycle there is ketu also. It is no way has any

connection to LK 35 saala cycle.

Basically as per my understading ,in Himalanyan\ Gharwal region Devis

are worshiped most, all the eight Maha-Devis gives us pleasure and

pain in this world of MAYA.The nineth one which represent ketu

symbolises moksh. The cycle of re-birth or moksh is represented by

rahu and ketu in the dasha of Sankata.

Since their is 36 major Yoginis are mentioned in the sastra so total

dasa period is taken as 36 years which gives the knowledge of Eight

Siddis and hence divided into eight parts.

Just a weird logic !

Best Wishes,
