As Mahajan ji has already said that the major play of moon and the mercury will have to be seen for the mental frame. Rahu would indicate the suddenness of the event. After having ascertained the relationships of moon, mercury and rahu, then : The Weakness of the Lagna and its lord will have to be studied. Whether the Lagna is weak and is afflicted by malefic planets, and the Lagna lord is also weak and afflicted by malefics. After that the ‘aayu nirdharan’ will have to done. There are three age groups; namely alpa aayu, madhyam aayu, and deergha aayu. Even if the earlier two indicators point towards suicide or sudden death, but the native is adjudged having deergh aayu then it will not lead to a suicide. And finally the Dasha and the antardasha etc will have to be studied. If there is any interplay of the planets indicating suicidal tendencies, the native is adjudged having alp aayu; and at the same time there is a dasha/antardasha of the maraks then it could be possible.
