Also, I heard about keeping the elephant's tail hair. I would like to know it is for which purpose one need to keep Mare's first milk and elephant tail hair or is there any other combination for which this upaya needs to do. It has been added in the 1952 edition : “ ghodi jab bachcha deve to uska pahali dafa ka doodh jo uske [ghori ke] bachche ne abhi peena shuru na kiya ho nikal kar sheeshe ke bartan mein qayam rakhe to dhan daulat ki barkat bhi hogi aur daake ke vaqayat ya gaibi dhokhebaji se bachav bhi hota rahega†[ 1952 urdu ed ; page 883 ] Mars + Saturn form a Rahu. Therefore the results of this combination would largely depend on the nature of Rahu. The remedy of establishing mare’s first milk at home could be necessary if the above combination is afflicted. Mare [moon], her milk [moon] has been advised to be kept in ‘sheeshe ka bartan’, a glass [mercury] container. This will keep Rahu contained and at the same time mercury in check because a malefic mercury in this context will : “ shanishchar ki miyad [36 -39] tak rishtedaron aur khud teve wale ka sab kuchh [ dhan,daulat,mard,aurat] ura de ya ujad deve†[ 1952 urdu ed ; page 883] The moon + mercury combination has been described as auspicious for ‘gaibi haal’ and also ‘ dhan daulat umda’ [ 1941 urdu ed; page 262] What I fail to understand is why a mare’s milk ? Why not a silver slab [ chandi ki eent] Hair of an elephant : There is no mention in the Lal Kitab about it. I am also not aware of any folk tradition which recommends keeping at home a hair of an elephant's tail. Astrologically speaking, this might be one of the remedies for a malefic Rahu. Therefore taking away a hair [saturn] from an elephant [rahu] will amount to separating the Saturn from the above combination [sun + Saturn] and as a result leaving only a sun behind. Regarding Mare's milk it is mentioned in Arun Samhita 1952 edition page 349 for house number 12. Sir, as you mentioned, Mars+Saturn = Rahu. It is also mentioned that Mars+Saturn makes benefic Rahu. So, please suggest me why this upaya suggested for a benefic Rahu. Sir, if in a particular horoscope there is a combination of Saturn+Mars+Rahu+Jupiter in 12th house please suggest whether in this horoscope need to suggest Mare's first milk upaya or some other as there can be combination for with this four planets: Saturn+Mars = Benefic Rahu This makes Benefic Rahu+Rahu+Jupiter OR Jupiter+Rahu = Mercury Mercury+Saturn+Mars For this particular combination now upaya suggest is offering " batashe " in temple. Please clear my doubts or suggest appropriate upaya for this combination. I know this is not a group for suggesting remedies for individual horoscope, but if it is possible please suggest upaya for this combination. The Mare's milk remedy has not been mentioned for Mars + saturn in the 12th house. It has been mentioned as a remedy if this combination is afflicted or for mandi halat. In my previous message I had quoted the exact context in which this upaya is needed. If this combination is in the 12th house it should not need an upaya because because for the 12th house it says : asar dono den apana apana, nek bhala aur umda do Rahu bura na teve hoga, na hi ketu budh manda ho You have talked about 4 planets in the 12th house. You can not form Masnuyee planets at random. There has to be a system while doing it. The accepted system is that only those planets can form a masnuyee planet who have the longitudinal proximity within them. Of these 4 planets suppose you have: saturn at 5 degrees Rahu at 7 d Mars at 9 d Jupiter at 27d In this case, you can not form a masnuyee mercury through adding up Jupiter and rahu because there is no proximity between them; mars is in between them. You can not form a masnuyee with saturn and mars because they again are not together because rahu comes in between. Therefore in this combination you can not form any masnuyee planet. As for the Upaya, I am afraid I can not suggest as per the rules of this group. As for the elephant tail hair upaya, I can not find a logic as to why the learned Lal Kitab astrologer from Phagwara suggested it to be worn in a ring, unless he wanted to use the hair as a substitute for a gem. Since we [ Aligarh group] are against wearing any kind of gems I wouldn't know much about it. You have put this combination into a straight jacket , in 9th dharma raj everywhere else yamraj. In the Lal Kitab, it is not as simple as that. The combination has its 'nek' and 'manda' effects across houses. Mr. Manmohan singh took the oath of office on a moment when both Sat/Mars were falling in 9H. His government came in minority , but survived on account of defection of 26 MPs. Dhramraja decides the fate and moment of death for every person. When ever this combination occur in any other house , it can give many types of results, but some day will act in very adverse manner.
