Guest guest
Sir, this is a general query. Akshaya Trateeya is considered as a most auspicious muhurt for marriage and other activities. What could be the astrological reason for it? Sincerely Narendra Juneja
Guest guest
Respected Juneja ji, Akshaya means that which doesn’t diminish and always stays as it is. Therefore the results of any shubh karma done on this day come to stay for ever. Vaishakh, shukla 3 is known as Akshaya Trateeya Akshyay trateeya is the only day in the entire year when both the luminaries i.e. the sun and the moon are in exaltation on the same day. You’d probably know that the sun and the moon signify a lot of things in astrology; Indian ethos; mythology; folk lore and culture. Therefore the time when both the planets are in exaltation would naturally be considered as a very auspicious occasion. A shubh karma done on this day will have the support of both the 'atma' [sun] and the 'man' [mind].
