Guest guest
Respected Ruchika ji, A ‘chhalla jisko jod ya tanka na laga ho’ has been advised in the context of mercury placed in the 12th house [for a male jatak]. This upaya, amongst others, is mentioned only in the 1952 edition and not in any of the previous editions. Wearing a ‘bina jod ka faulad chhalla’ is one of the three upaya suggested. The 1952 urdu ed page 582-83 says: zard ashiya [sona] ka sath mubarak; faulad [dhatu] ka chhalla jis ko jod ya tanka na laga hove, khalis faulad jise zang na lagne pave, apne jism par qayam rakhana mubarak hoga. aur jis qadar jyada safa aur chamakdar hoga usi qadar hi lamp mein safa chimani ya bijali ki lahar ke liye bulb ka kaam dega aur kismet ki soyee huyee lahar ko fauran jaga dega, aur ek karamad zamana kar dega. Magar khyal rahe ki yeh chhalla kisi se muft na liya jaye varna be-maani hoga mathe par [ tilak ki jagah ] kesar zard [ brahaspati ] ka tilak lagana bhi madadgar hoga. budh ka khali bartan kora ghara vagairah chalte paani mein bahana madadgar hoga. Now let us look at these three suggested upaya. We know that the ill effects of mercury placed in the 12th house can be neutralized through the help of Jupiter and Saturn. In the first two suggested upaya, the help of Jupiter and Saturn has been taken to neutralize the poison of mercury, where as the third upaya of ‘kora ghara’ is to distance the effects of mercury as such instead of neutralizing it. Now let us analyse why a ‘bina jod ka faulad chhalla’ has been advised and why did the book have to specifically mention that the challa should be ‘bina jod ka’. A faulad chhalla with a closed mouth / ends, complete unbroken circle is = Saturn + mercury A faulad chhalla with ends open [gap in between], not a complete circle is = Saturn only The 12th house is jointly owned by Jupiter and rahu = mercury i.e. a mercury is inherent in the 12th house. In this context mercury is also placed in the 12th house. That means there is mercury , twice over, in the 12th house. Now will it be prudent to add another mercury by wearing a closed ends chhalla representing Saturn + mercury. At least I do not find it prudent to add yet another mercury when we are trying to neutralize existing two mercury , one apparent and one inherent. Even otherwise, while taking the help of Jupiter to neutralize mercury the book has suggested a 'kesar tilak' only or 'sona ka saath' only. It has not suggested any combination of Jupiter+mercury which it could have done very easily. To our mind the book suggests the use of either Jupiter or Saturn only to neutralize the malefic effects of mercury. We should not use any combination using any of these two elements [ Jupiter, Saturn] such that is likely to strengthen the mercury instead of neutralizing it. Therefore any chhalla worn as an upaya for mercury should be open at the ends, it should not be a closed complete circle. Guest guest
Respected Rucheka ji, [ 1 ] No comments on upaya suggested by an astrologer. [ 2 ] A chhalla which is joined at the ends [ unbroken complete circle] has an element of Mercury. Therefore a silver bangle or chhalla worn as an upaya [ there is a difference between wearing some thing as an upaya and wearing as an ornament] with ends joined is Moon + mercury. This is not a desirable combination. [ 3 ] I will explain the difference between the right and the left hand in my next answer.
