Sir,

It is said in the Lal Kitab that ‘ budh ka jaati asar naak se faisala hoga’.

Could you please explain this? Sincerely,

MP Jain

Respected Jain Saheb,

Let us first understand the context in which this statement is made. This line

occurs in the context of Jupiter + mercury.

‘Budh ka jaati asar naak se faisala hoga’. The individual effect of mercury

would be known by the nose.

The Nose is a karak of Jupiter. Where as the front portion [ naak ka agala

hissa, sira ganth] is the karak of Mercury [ page 42, 1940 ed]. Therefore if the

entire nose is to be talked about, it has to be within the Jupiter + mercury

context.

The Lal Kitab gives 16 characteristics of the jatak depending on the 16

discernable shapes of the nose [ page 112A of 1939 ed] , in other words what

falls in the domain of Jupiter is being talked about.

Later, the book talks about 6 characteristics of the jatak [ page 112B of 1939

ed] depending upon the shape of the nose-end [ naak ka agala hissa, sira,

ganth]. This falls in the domain of Mercury.

The effect of the mercury on the jatak will be the following depending upon the

shape of the nose-end.

The nose-end the effect of Mercury on the Jatak

Mota va ganthdar khud pasand, khudgarz

Bada va ganthdar sulah pasand

Naak chaudi, nathune chaude kund zahan

Nathune chaude wahami, shahwat parast

Nathune tang aklamand, sharmashar, fayyaz magar mutkabbir

Naak badan se jyada surkh ho lalachi, budfel, neki ka dushman

Varun ji,

Does tilt of nose to right or left side has any

significance.

Dear Kulbir bhai,

I have not come across any reference to the tilt, right or left.

Although, on page 112A [ 1939] there is a mention about ' neeche ko jhuki huyee'

; munh ki taraf jhuki huyee; andar ko jhuki huyee.

But there is no mention of tilted to the right or to the left.

Have a nice day,

Varun Trivedi
