Sirs,

In Arun Samhita page 340, it is said : Khana 8, maut ka ghar; is ghar ko khana

12 ke grah 25% drishti se dekhate hain. This is in the context of the first

example kundali of January 18, 1902. While discussing the 8th house of this

kundali the above statement is made.Where as in the grammar portion there is no

mention of the planets in the 12th house aspecting those placed in the 8th

house. There is a mention of the planets in 8th look at the 2nd, the 2nd looks

at the 6th, and the 6th looks at the 12th; thus the planets in the 8th have an

aspect on the 12th. Sir could you confirm from the original Lal Kitab what the

correct situation is? Sincerely,

MP jain

Respected Jain saheb,

Once again the mistake [if at all] is carried into Arun Samhita from the original 1952 urdu edition.

In the original 1952 edition it is said:

Khana # 8 { maut ka ghar}: is ghar ko khana number 12 ke grah 25 feesadi nazar se dekhte hain. [ page 953; line 7; 1952 urdu edition]

You are also right that in the grammar section of the book there is no mention of the planets of the 12th house having any aspect on those in the 8th house.

According to the Vedic astrology planets have a partial aspect on the planets placed in the houses 5th and the 9th from the aspecting planet. Therefore the planets in the 12th house will have a partial drishti on those in the 8th house.

We have long believed that the Lal Kitab follows the traditional vedic astrology system of aspect, although it may not have been specifically mentioned in the grammar of the Lal Kitab.

Therefore, on the face of it, according to the Lal Kitab system it might appear to be a mistake, but astrologically speaking it is not.

Regards,

Varun Trivedi
