Guest guest
Respected Ribhukant ji, I on my behalf and on the behalf of the entire Lal Kitab community congratulate your father to have completed such a monumental task of transcribing in Hindi such a huge volume. Great job done indeed. We wish all the commercial success for the published book. Guest guest
Dear Madhavan ji, From my blog (http://www.lalkitab.in/2008/07/which-lal-kitab-book.html) - - The best choice in English is available in the form of Lal Kitab translated by Goswami and Vashishta and published by Sagar Publications. It is mostly a translation of 1952 edition with some additions from 1939 edition. It is a well proofread and neatly printed. Right now, it is the best (and probably only) choice available for English readers. Though, in my opinion, the quality of translation is not very good and so this book must be used in conjunction with any other book. - Lal Kitab (The Exposition & Background) by Pt. Krishna Ashant. It is not the recommended book by experts. But as not many options are available, it is not a bad idea to take help of this book. Mr. Ashant has left out many important topics without which you will find yourself guessing. Also he has created few of his own hypotheses that may or may not be true. Apart from these two, " Lal Kitab - A Rare Book on Astrology " by Prof. U.C. Mahajan published by Pustak Mahal is also worth a look. I doubt it can be called a translation of 1952 edition, but seems close to that. I am not aware of any other good book in English language. I personally feel that without knowing Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi, it is very difficult to learn Lal Kitab because it is written in very traditional language. Knowledge of these languages definitely helps to get a better grip on this subject.
