Long can be selected, if the one shown by the SW is not according to your requirement. The Ayanamsha has a set of alternate ones, and lastly, the option to write/use your own ayanmsa. The use of alternate Ephemeris is not provided in SW. It really does not make any noticable changes, in the Lords, which are used for prediction. Hope this helps. "K. P. Guest guest Posted March 24, 2009 Report Share Posted March 24, 2009 Respected Priya ji ? whenever such an upaya ie 'throwing from outside the cemetery' is considered, I have come accross a practical problem. the outer walls of almost all the shamshan ghar have high walls and it is not possible to throw so high. the result is that whatever things you are supposed to throw inside the cemetry fall outside only. one of my friend did the upaya for marriage and in that upaya you have to do it over the shoulder and it is specified not to look back, she was not able to throw all the almonds inside and lot of these fell on outside the boundry. pl tell if this? way is correct. ? some shamshan ghars?have an outside boundry, then parking space and then another boundry enclosing the area where the actual sanskar is performed. is is okay to do this upaya from the parking space to the inside boundry or can one just drop the upaya items anywhere in the cemetry. ? thanx and regards ? sharat pandit ? ? But if you are feeding dogs as an upaya i.e. with a sankalp , then I am afraid it has to be done during the day hours. Yes, you can feed them on Sunday mornings before sunrise [ketu period] also. As for the upaya of ketu in the 7th house, one would need to study your horoscope. In this group, as a rule, we do not study individual horoscopes. Once you have learnt the traditional astrology and get comfortable with it, you will learn Lal Kitab system along with casting the horoscope.Till then no software is going to help you.
