All Dear Members

Thanks for all your replies. Here

is the True picture of the challenging case......

This man's exact problem is Addiction.

He is severely addicted to many things like drinking, Gutka, drug injections

etc. etc., Right now, he is not having health issues as such. About career,

He is Not doing anything right now, doing nothing, no job or business.

His earning is "Zero" right now. He is married & having a girl child.

The health of the child is fine. His wife is staying with him only. His

parents are styaing with him & the whole family is running only on

the pension & funds the parents have. Due to this, of course, the family

autmosphere has totally spoiled. He might suffer health problems in future

or he may not live longer life but, current problem is Addiction,

the route cause of all other problems.

The current Jup. bhukti (antardasha)

is not that bad as Jup. in the star of moon & moon is in 11th house

+ 10th CSL is Jup. only, but, his income is Zero right now.

The rule for addiction given

in Astrosecrets & KP, Part I, p 152, (this is given to me by Tw, tw853)

"If 5th sublord is Saturn or

Mars and connected with 3-6-2-1-4, then

addiction to alcohol"

But, this rule doesn't show the addiction

in this horoscope, 5th CSL is Venus significator of 5,1,10,7,2,9 Is there

Any other "Rule" for addiction?

Nobody has pinpointed the correct

problem area. Satish was nearer to the problem & another one who told

me that he may not live longer life.

Regards

Abhay

Abhay,

Thank you for this interesting case.

The native has close Mars Neptune conjunction for which the

Sociological Correspondence is ' Sick, people, also persons

craving drugs' - Ebertin.

I hadn't noticed this because I was so taken by his Jupiter,

Uranus,Ketu stellium right on his Ascendant. However, rechecking

shows that this Mars Neptune conjunction is tied into this

stellium, through being close trine Rahu, sextile the stellium.

We therefore see Mars Neptune and Rahu all in the Star of 6th

Lord Saturn. Here we see his 'sickness' - addiction to drugs.

The problem is probably acute at present because in the last

Solar Eclipse Mars Neptune transiting in close conjunction came

conjunct natal mental planets Mercury opposition natal Moon.

So his mind is totally taken by his addiction. At the same time

The SE point, Venus, and Rahu all came very close conjunction his

natal Venus Saturn conjunction. Note natal Mars and Rahu in

the 6th house are in the Star of Saturn and Sub of Venus so

pinpointing the problem.

An interesting point is that the 3rd,7th, and 11th houses have

Saturn as Star Lord and Venus as Sub Lord. Venus itself has

Saturn as Sub Lord. This does not auger well for his

relationships at home and with his wife. The fact is that it is

a particularly unfortunate chart with no less than 9 of the Cusp

sub lords being either Saturn or Venus.

Mars and Neptune in Scorpio in 2nd house close to 3rd cusp indicate

drinking habit and drug addiction.

This might be severe during Mars antra.

Dear friends,

Yes it is interesting case.

Now he is running Rahu antra in Jupiter bhukti.

Rahu is in star of Sat and sub of venus.

Both sat+ven conjoined in 7th house.

7th cusp also Jup-SAt-Ven, and ven occuring as 5th, 3rd, 9th, and

11th sub lord.

This is a clearcut case of second marriage type situation. 6th rahu

and Sat involving shows illegal connection. Not connected to 8th

house means difficult to maintain secracy. Both Sat and Ven in star

of Mercury and Mer getting cancer Moon aspect from 11th also

indicate similar situation.

Whole affair may turn unfortunate event as Pisces[sat] and Capricorn

[Mer] and 7th and 5th houses indicate unfortunate and mentally

disturbing conditions.

My analysis is that rather than drug addiction, this affair and no

job sitation [Mer in 5th] may be diificult sitation/problem for him.

Profession sitation should improve as Mer is lord of 10th and

getting aspect from Moon.Jup in 1st house in star of Moon may

indicate profitable profession connected to

catering/servicing/ladies articles etc.

True picture of challenging case

Dear Abhay and friends,

There are few other combination in KP which depicts addiction. Like, if sub-lord of 5th house occupies either Pisces or Taurus, that gives tendency for addiction to intoxication and person would be of irresponsible attitude. Especially mercury as sub-lord can worsen the condition. If we just try to analyse, little bit, it gives clue that, planets Venus, Jupiter and Mercury ( also perhaps 6th, 7th and 12th house lords) when afflicted and establishes close connection with 5th sub lord, that would lead for excessive addiction. Even Rahu/ketu are also can hint addictions!

In the given case, Ketu is 5th sub lord and represents Mercury. Further it is associated with Jupiter.

Further, afflicted Venus (planet indicator for luxury and addiction), Rahu and Saturn are squaring the Ketu and Asc. Tendency of Jupiter is to expand what ever it gets associated with. Here it is badhaka lord and retrograde. Heavily stands afflicted by other planet, and thus native might have been addicted to excessive extent. How ever, in assessing extent of gravity of problem and seriousness, I feel one need to be blessed with not only sense of time but power of intuition as well. (Please excuse me, if any body is not pleased with my extended thoughts).

Good exercise.

Best wishes,

Mohan Hegde.

Ron ji,

Thanks for the note. Hope to see more charts showing addiction so that we can continue our study.

Dear Punit,It is not Mars that is the primary cause of the problem it isNeptune. Neptune is well known as the planet of drugs,

negative way, because Saturn is Malefic as Lord of the 6th house.Mercury is in the Sub of Venus which effectively takes on therole of Saturn due to close conjunction. Therefore Neptune ismalefic and exceptionally detrimental to the native.

Neptune's close conjunction with Mars compounds the problembecause Mars is in the Star of Malefic Saturn and the Sub ofVenus, which we have seen above takes on the role of Saturn. So we have both Neptune and Mars extremely malefic due to the

overwhelming influence of Saturn. As explained in my previousmail, according to Ebertin Mars Neptune combination creates a'craving for drugs'.I can't agree that Saturn is the planet of addiction. Saturn is

black or white, positive or negative depending on circumstances.Saturn is the planet of self control for good or bad.Addiction is a hazy world of unknowns with no self control. This just isn't Saturn - who makes a determined unequivocal stand

schools of Hindu astrology see the Nodes as related to drugs). It is interesting to note that in the case under discussion Marsand Neptune are in close trine to Rahu. So both Hindu andWestern planets representing drugs are involved.

Dear friends,

In my opinion this chart does not show alcoholism/drugs as major

problem. For certain people drinking becomes a normal practice.

In the chart Mars+ Nep in Scorpio in SECOND house, and several

planets are in watery sign. Mercury[main planet,in whose star Venus

sublord of lagna is placed]is aspected by Moon.

This watery disposition may be normal for the person himself but

seen by people surrounded by him as excesses.

This is because Mars is not coming as sublord of any house. Had it

been sublord of 2nd house, this could have been severe problem.

Second cusp sublord is Jup which is in 1st house cusp controls

everything inspite of its not favorably placed and inflicted.

Mars- Rahu trine may not be important for drinking/drug. Trine

aspect on Rahu is seen of Jupiter only for analysis of results.

In any case this is a benefic aspect which may indicate native

having good organising power when dealing with general public.

If we can get chart of film actor Sanjay Dutt, it can be a good case

of drug addiction and rehablitation.

Dear All,

1. It can be seen clearly how the simple and straight forward but

not groundless imiginary rule for addiction by N. Bhasin, James

Braha and Vedic Astrloger Pablo Pena (Msg #4120) is working for the

charts of Abhay's challaging case, Marilyn Monroe and Sanjay Dutt

even with combination of KP significators for 2nd house.
