TEMPLATE FOR POSTING MESSAGES - PROPOSAL

Dear Members,

 

Further to my Msg.No.5480 in connection with Mr.Uudupa's proposal of

APDL, I thought that I should highlight the merits of using a

template, if and when feasible. The following points may please be

noted:

 

1. Msgs. posted will be crystal clear:

* Clarity of " The key msg " .

* Clarity of the process / method of arriving at a conclusion.

* Due regard for Information heirarchy and presentation

* Imbibes basic discipline and method in drawing the attention of

members.

* Automatic avoidance of near malicious nature, if any.

* Reduces the burden for Moderator/s, possibly.

* Avoids Forum being used as a means to settle personal communicatin.

* Precise pointed questions and hence pointed replies.

* Might reduce contraversies and contradictions.

 

2. Value enahancement:

* All messages will be well focussed.

* Communication is complete.

* If the chart is incorporated, it becomes a lot easier to follow

and understand fully and then reply.

* Helps build personal E-Library and Index according to individual

convenience.

* Quick and efficient recall of any message at will, that too off-

line.

* Increaded overall productivity .

* Quality and effective time management.

 

3. If agrees:

* A poll engine can be attached to know the score, if opinion poll

is involved. (The technology stuff is readily available and it is

only the will to do it combined with procedure)

* FAQs - Frequently appearing questions / subjects too can be

automatically numbered and tabulated.

 

I am aware it is a little high funda, but it doesn't cost anything

whereas it will have a gamut of values and convenience.

 

I have written in several sentences earlier and thought that this is

a better presentation.

 

Let us try if allows the facility to attach a file while
