Guest guest
Dear Punit and members, As everyone can see, tempers tend to run high now and then in this forum and you (Punit) have to step in to moderate. Although we have some knowledgeable members, in my opinion we lack " focus " . For instance, several weeks ago Udupa suggested that we should try to come up with a language / notation to express astrological notions clearly. I think it was named ADL. Out of great excitement I even submitted a draft proposal so that others could contribute their comments and ideas. Nothing came out of it. This is what I call lack of focus. For some days now the topic has hovered around Punarphoo. When I read KP books and articles I am also greatly confused. I am sure there are many others like me in this forum. Often I begin to wonder whether KP has the clarity required to solve real-world predictions. Sure Kanak has demonstrated great skill in the application of KP. That way we will find a few in every system of astrology. If this group wants to contribute meaningfully to KP system, I sincerely feel we should work differently. What is one good way to solve a problem? Work as a group in a focussed manner. Take the two areas I have cited as examples here: ADL and Punarphoo. Instead of thrashing it out in the forum, I would recommend forming a committee (for each topic of general interest) with volunteers. This group will PRIVATELY exchange ideas, do research and subject to a deadline, will present its findings to members of the forum. Then it becomes a subject of discussion. The group could then take ideas from the forum and incorporate those into their findings. It is my humble view that this will result in some useful outcome. Bickerings will only dampen the interest of members who are genuinely interested in participating in the forum. Regards, Rangarajan
