Guest guest
Hello, everyone. I'm pleased to see that I've received several more " New Subscriber " messages from Egroups. I would like all the new people (and those of you still in " lurker " mode) to say hello to everyone. Be sure to include how you found this list (Egroups, or from my postings on Lois Rodden's website), and why you're interested in Sidereal Astrology. The more charts I look at, the more I'm convinced that " signs " don't have the influence they supposedly do. When someone behaves in a manner consistent with a given sign, it's because: 1) Their Sun forms an aspect to that sign's ruling planet. 2) That sign's ruling planet forms a hard aspect to that person's Sun-Moon midpoint. 3) That sign's ruling planet is either a) angular, b) the focus of a T-Square, c) the focus of a Yod, or d) strong in some other way. 4) If the sign has two " co-rulers " , the Sun aspects their midpoint. The lesson here: the " obvious " reason isn't always the _real_ reason. When something has more than one explanation, none of the individual explanation deserves primacy. Dig deeper, dig deeper, dig deeper! There's always something new to find out! Later, Kevin/Baraka
Guest guest
Hello, I am a moderator of a small group on site, and astrology student. I 've been with some doubts in astrology that seems to be hard to answer with my teacher (In Brazil). So I was looking for some astrology groups in the site, and have found yours, that seems to have an interesting central theme. One of my doubts are the following, I study what seems to be tropical astrology in your language, but I like jyotish (vedic astrology) very much. When I began to read somthing about the subject, I noticed that, in jyotish, my solar sign is one before my solar sign in western astrology, what doesn't seems to make sense in real life for me, because I really have the characteristics of my sign read in westerns astrology. So when I found your group, I thought I could have found something that can clear up my doubts. Thanks, Eduardo - <aumgn93 Saturday, May 20, 2000 1:41 PM This list just keeps growing! > Hello, everyone. > > I'm pleased to see that I've received several more " New Subscriber " messages > from Egroups. > > I would like all the new people (and those of you still in " lurker " mode) to > say hello to everyone. Guest guest
Kevin/Baraka, The lesson could be learned, partially. 1) In my natal map, the sun is in conjunction (difference of 1º 30', is it a conjunction in the sidereal system?) with Mercurius. This would give me a Gemini characteristic is that? 2) Reading in a tropical chart, the Sun and Mercurius are in gemini, reading in a " Lahiri " chart (I think Lahiri is a sidereal system, is it?), The sun is in the end of Taurus, and Mercury in the begining of Gemini, but the sun in Taurus means little in sidereal system, but the conjunction with Mercurius means my Gemini characteristics is That? It is becoming a good site to Dig!! 3) Sidereal Astrology = Jyotish?. You've wrote some ocidental names of the fathers of sidereal astrology in th west in our times. Who are they? Peace, Eduardo. - <aumgn93 Sunday, May 21, 2000 5:04 PM Re: This list just keeps growing! > In a message dated 00-05-21 15:26:50 EDT, ealexander (Eduardo > Alexander) writes: > > > I noticed that, in jyotish, > > my solar sign is one before my solar sign in western astrology, what > doesn't > > seems to make sense in real life for me, because I really have the > > characteristics of my sign read in westerns astrology. > > The more charts I look at, the more I'm convinced that " signs " don't have the > influence they supposedly do.
