Guest guest
Hello all. I am new to the list. I have always been interested in all forms of astrology but this was some thing new to me so I joined. The one thing I am really confused on is what is a solar return? How often does it happen? Is it a big deal?

Is it a big deal? A Solar Return happens when the Sun returns to the location of the native's birth relative to the fixed stars. This happens within a day of the birthday. When we cast a chart for the Solar Return, using the person's residence for the year as the location, we can see what issues a person will face that year. Since the planets use the fixed stars as reference points, much the way we use " landmarks " when giving directions, we must take precession (the movement of the Equinoxes) into account. If we don't, we won't get an accurate chart. Later, Kevin/Baraka
