Guest guest
Hello, everyone. Using Halloran's AstrolDeluxe software, I've attempted to replicate Fagan's results as given in _Zodiacs Old and New_, regarding the origins of the " exalted degrees " of the planets. Since Fagan did his calculations by hand, some minor discrepancies are understandable. However, in order to get his results, I had to use the year 785-784BCE instead of 786-785BCE. This may be due to a glitch in the software, so I'd like to know what results others get if they try it, too. Using 31N55'06 " and 44E32'28 " as Babylon's coordinates, -2:58:10 Local Time as the time zone, and with the Sidereal Zodiac, we find the planets at or very close to their exalted degrees, either appearing just after sunset or about to disappear just after sunrise, on these dates and at these times: Sun -- 18Ari53, April 3, 786/5, 6:11PM Moon -- 01Tau59, May 1, 786/5, 5:22AM Mercury -- 16Vir26, Sept 14, 786/5, 5:37AM Venus -- 27Pis11, April 4, 786/5, 5:56AM Mars -- 01Aqu25, February 4, 785/4, 7:03AM Jupiter -- 15Can20, June 22, 786/5, 6:57PM Saturn -- 20Lib26, September 23, 786/5, 6:07PM Later, Kevin
