Guest guest
To convert a Tropical chart to the Sidereal, find the Synetic Vernal Point for the date (of birth, or the beginning of Solar or Lunar Return, or other event), go back one sign and add the SVP to the Tropical positions for all chart elements (planets, house cusps, and sundry points. Using Fagan-Allen for March 31, 2001 the SVP would be 5 degrees, 14 minutes, 50 seconds. The transiting Sun at noon, CST, Tropical Zodiac, would be 11 degrees, 4 minutes, 51 seconds Aries. To change this position to the Sidereal Zodiac, add the SVP TO the Transiting Suns' Tropical position, and go back one sign. SVP 5 14 50 Transiting Sun 11 04 51 Aries Sum 16 19 41 (16 degrees, 19 minutes, 41 seconds) Go back one sign from Aries, which is Pices. Sidereal position of the Sun is 16 degrees, 19 minutes, 41 seconds of Pices. Or you can find a Sidereal Ephemeris and compute the positions from that, as well as a Sidereal Table of Houses. Guest guest
Hanni, Ah, doing one's own research. Very good advice. When studying a new subject, I often feel I am unfit to do my own research. However, no one is going to stop me from comparing my various results to those of more seasoned astrologers. Many thanks, -s
