Guest guest
Hello all, Nice to have found the list. I have studied astology seriously since the 60's and found Cyril Fagan's articles in American Astrology and got started from them in studying sidereal methods, as it seemed the most rational to me. I have his early books (yes all these years and they are falling apart) finally resorted to copying them and making a new notebook for myself! Also have downloaded everything from the MAG site. I use Matrix Win Star 2.0 to do my charts. Do not do it professionally, but for family and friends and for study on events etc. I was looking for Jim Badura when I came across a reference to this group. Jim had the most beautiful sites and great explanations. But they seem to be gone. Where is he, it seems he has been gone about 2 years????? Is he still active? I hope in the future I can contribute something of interest. I have an interest in earthquakes and signaficators in charts. Phylis
Guest guest
Dear Chris, When I first attempted to do charts in the 60's was doing them by hand and had several books on how to set them up, but learned from Cyril Fagin's Primer of Sidereal Astrology how to create a correct sidereal chart, in those days was learning and experimenting, used to do a lot compatibility charts for friends and personality charts. Not being overly mathmatical (Mercury in Libra seems to make a love of beauty and form so love geometry-charts- but not math to make them- Sun in Scorpio so I persist), I blessed the day computers came in, have had Matrix programs since DOS days set to sidereal charts, Campanus houses etc. I also like to study locational astrology, years ago had astrocartography charts done for all the family. Now with the new programs can make my own. Specially good, as have had a long haul to get my own birth time correct, as was born in South Bend Indiana, and you may know they are a people to there own on what time zone they use. I finally settled on Eastern War Time, from discussions with family and research, so most all charts I previously had done are off by as much as two hours. I originally studied in Florida and then moved to California some years ago and am now retired so have more time to explore this lifetime study. I am a dyed in the wool siderealist--- Thanks for asking, Phylis LA LA Land (Los Angeles, CA) cpwing44 wrote: > In a message dated 7/15/2002 1:25:03 AM Central Daylight Time, > forsch writes: > > > > Nice to have found the list.
