Guest guest
Hi Terese, I am new to this board. Haven't posted much...but I have seen an ongoing debate on here about the sidereal vs. tropical. A couple of months ago, when I first HEARD about sidereal for the first time....I really started looking around and re-applying sidereal to tropical analyses on " famous " people's charts. On I think StarIQ, there was an analysis about Ghandi. Here is an excerpt on some of my thoughts about his chart.....specifically his grand trine (which includes the 10th house). I think I did another pinch-hit analysis on someone else, and will look for it. I mean......EVERY single chart I look at......when I look at sidereal......all the pieces fall into place. FROM AN EMAIL TO A NEW SIDEREAL NOVICE: " Just pulled Ghandi's chart and ran it for sidereal/porphory. Also read something on his chart........talking about his AIR sun, predominance of fire, including a grand trine in fire from 2nd/6th/10th. Interesting........in sidereal........ He is a virgo sun; libra asc; and a cancer moon (10th). That grand trine of his is not in fire.....it's in water. Which makes total sense! I mean.....the guy was the most pure martyr we have a photograph of! He took on ALL the pain for his entire country, and the world really......fighting English imperialism and subjugation. Of course his grand trine is in WATER! (saturn in 2nd; neptune in 6th; and moon in 10th). And it was his earthy, purity-seeking VIRGO sun that rooted him down to a cause. If he were a fire/air dude..............he wouldn't have suffered for his peoples, his cause. Heck, this guy started out buying RIGHT into the English imperialists' hands.........studied and became a lawyer in London. Wore those funky western suits and everything. A real SERVANT/slave to imperialism. Then one day........he got really in touch with the wrongness of that whole war-mongered scene, got in touch with his PEOPLE at a deep, spiritual level.......and whammo.....he's wearing all cotton cloths draped around him with a shaved head......and he's the savior of India........but also of England......to help THEM too......to help ENGLAND get right with the world for their own sake. __________________ I will also add that Ghandi, in sidereal, has a cancer north node. That's what I have in sidereal. In tropical it's LEO. Well, that never made any sense to me at all! But what I have learned about cancer nn is that the primary task that the person has before him/her is to really get in touch with their feelngs......but ALSO to EXPRESS those feelings and take action on those feelings. Until the cancer nn person does that, they are kind of lost in society......as Ghandi was. But once they get in touch with their true feelings.....and express them and act on them and stay true to them.......they are truly to SET for real service and compassion to mankind. Now.......if Ghandi or myself were to buy into the Leo NN.......well, I have to say......that NN's lesson is: " if you are having fun, you are on the right track. " That ain't Ghandi and it surely isn't me. And if you really look it........His FEELING nature (what he has to explore for true karmic and evolutionary fulfillment of his life purpose)......just look to his MOON in his 10th house of public image and vocation and service. I find it impossible to think of Ghandi as having an AIR Moon. He's totally WATER!! All about compassion. I mean......perhaps his WIFE.......or perhaps his ADVISORS......or even someone who influenced him as a child.......THEY may have been air-oriented (to help Ghandi keep perspective). Don't you kind of think that an air-oriented grand trine person would be a bit more " behind the scenes " and a lot more EMOTIONALLY removed from the plight of his peoples? Just wanted to share this, as it seems you are posting several charts and comparing the difference between sidereal and tropical. Oh.......I think I also have something on the Dalai Lama! Will look for that!!! Robin
Guest guest
Woops...made an error in my Ghandi analysis. I referred to his MOON being in an air sign. I meant in tropical it is FIRE. It would seem that Ghandi had been a fire grand trine with an air sun that he would have been more of a WARRING type of individual rather than the personification of peaceful disobedience. Dontcha think? (This coming from a sideral fire-heavy person who would has to work at being peaceful and flowing when my feathers are being ruffled. LOL) Robin
