Sidereal astronomy is a profound topic and calls for deep thought. Vincent painted in the South of France as everyone knows. Another famous painting of his is Starry Night. I don't believe that's the title he gave it, but reflects the popularity of the painting. The stars are a difficult subject in art. There are frequent personifications of the heavens in art. The Signs of the Zodiac are an obvious example. The popularity of van Gogh is in his realism, supercharged with emotion. Arcane symbolism, such as the Logos of the Zodiac, are simply misunderstood by those who have not been initiated. A few years before Starry Night, photography relieved art of the need for factual representation. The expressive possiblities latent in art were then developed by the Impressionists. The way you feel when observing an actual celestial event may be expressed artistically, following Vincent van Gogh's precedent. Real celestial events can be dramatic. This, then, concerns both science and humanism. *
Guest guest
Hi Brian, Thanks, I did find the exact place in the south of France...Saint Remy de Provence. The chart shows...A unique picture of the Moon (Pluto-Venus-Moon) that is awakened to life forever (Uranus, 8th -150-Neptune)...well, almost forever. The original name for " Starry Night " (vulgar) was " A Study of the Night " (poetic). Neptune attenuates and extends life. Jeanne Calment who died in 1997 at 122 years of age had Sun-ASC 150 Jupiter (8th) and 30 Neptune (2nd). She also happened to be the last living person who saw Van Gogh. He used to come into her father's shop to buy art supplies. She didn't like him because he was dirty. In 19th century France, read 'smelled'. Guest guest
I have not seen a reading like this before- > ...Sun-ASC 150 Jupiter (8th) and 30 Neptune (2nd). Say more about this (if you please) -is it your manner, or where you picked it up, etc. The information about van Gogh's aquaintance was interesting, fills- in one more detail about the tragic person's life. *
