Matthew,

First, looking at the quake chart, it looks totally different than mine!

This is because your chart doesn't have aspects to the ascendant drawn in,

and (from my perspective) that's where the planetary quake pattern is.

The ascendant in this chart is 20 Gemini.

Mars at 25 Libra trines the Asc.

Uranus at 20 Capricorn is quincunx the ascendant.

Saturn at 22 Aries is sextile the ascendant.

Thus the quake aspect pattern is Asc-Mars-Uranus-Saturn, all linked

together by major aspects with orbs from partile (within a degree) to 5

degrees.

There is a secondary planetary pattern linked to the MC (also not

diagrammed in Matthew's uploaded charts):

The Sun is quincunx the MC and Mars is trine the MC. Venus is also quincunx

the M.C.

That means that the Sun and Mars are in square aspect to each other while

they both aspect the MC. (Venus is out of orb and does not square Mars.)

For my own purposes for the time being I ignore all other planets in the

quake chart since (as I currently judge charts) they aren't related to the

angles by major aspect.

THE CANCER SOLAR INGRESS:

Now taking the closest solar ingress to the quake, the Cancer ingress: In

some ways the F-B and K ingress charts are similar. However, there is a 10

degree difference in the M.C. and a 13 difference in the Ascendant.

The Krishnamurti ingress MC highlights key planets in the quake chart:

The ingress MC is 25 Libra.

So the IC conjoins quake Saturn at 22 Aries.

Quake Mars (which aspects both the quake asc and MC) at 25 Libra conjoins

the K ingress MC at 25 Libra--partile with a 7 minute orb.

Quake Uranus at 21 Capricorn squares Saturn/IC and Mars/MC. This is the

**same** configuration in the quake chart that is linked to the quake

ascendant by major aspect.

So Mars/Saturn in the quake chart conjoins the K Libra ingress MC/IC. This

would not be so important if Saturn and Mars didn't also make major aspects

to the quake ascendant. Again (as I've seen in the K solar ingresses so

far....), the solar ingress angles pick out key planets in the actual chart

of the quake.

The F-B CanSolar is convincing enough in and of itself, but the chart

angles don't pick up the key planets in the quake chart. Matthew, you've

said you don't consider this kind of contact important, but if it happens

in all (or most) quake charts with the K ayanamsa, then it has to be

seriously considered.

LIBRA LUNAR INGRESS PRECEDING THE QUAKE:

Now looking at the K Libra lunar ingress in August--the closest cardinal

ingress to the quake-- (which Matthew has kindly computed and posted along

with the other charts):

The ascendant is 23.5 Libra.

Mars is 25 Libra.

Saturn is 22 Aries opposing Asc/Mars.

Uranus is 20 Capricorn.

Again, the **same** angular configuration as the quake chart and the Cancer

solar ingress.

Q1 PROGRESSIONS (for the CapSolar ingress)

The F-B Quotidian progressed chart has the powerful configuration of

Mars-Saturn-Neptune linked to the Asc/Dec, but this configuation doesn't

touch the quake angles. If we didn't have the date of the quake, would we

be able to pick it out with Q1 progressions alone?

The K Q1 progressed chart has Uranus/Venus conjunct the IC, which I

consider irrelevant because no other planets tie into this conjunction via

major aspect except for a Pluto sextile. I give this chart a near zero. It

has no real tie-in with the quake chart itself.

-----

THE K CAPSOLAR:

I don't find either the Capsolar or the CapLunar nearly as relevant to the

quake as the cardinal solar and lunar ingresses immediately preceding the

quake. In general there are some planets somewhat close to the angles, but

they're not convincing enough to show that a quake is coming:

The K CapSolar has Saturn/Mars across the Asc/Dec, but the orb is fairly

wide. Neptune/Sun squares this configuration.

Mercury is on the M.C. So what?--if where are no major aspects to Mercury.

-----

THE F-B CAPSOLAR:

The F-B CapSolar has Jupiter 4 degrees from the ascendant. Rahu is

aspecting via the quinxunx as is Mars. This could perhaps be a pre-quake

warning, though so far I haven't seen a quake chart with Jupiter near the

ascendant.

The Moon is at the M.C. sextiled by Mars. Not serious enough for a quake.

However, Mars is square Sun/Neptune and both are in sextile to the

ascendant and Jupiter. (It's best to check out the charts that Matthew has

uploaded to understand this configuration.)

-----

CAPLUNARS:

The CapLunars don't hold together very well. They can't compare in clarity

to the K lunar Libra ingress just before the quake.

-----

Color note: Yellow is almost invisible when it's printed out. It might be

best to change yellow to another color.?

Bi-Wheels: A bi-wheel (CapSolar plus Q1 progressions) would show the

CapSolar/Q1 progressions relationship best, since the Q1 progressions are a

sort of transit to the CapSolar. It's easy to check a bi-wheel against the

quake chart.

....and I'm a bit dizzy from having to study so many charts...

Sincerely,

Therese
