Hi Cynthia,

I calculated Kerry's 2003 and 2004 solar returns for his bithplace (Denver)

and Washington, D.C. What is interesting about Kerry is that he has a

birthday between the election and the inauguration in January of 2005.

From the sidereal perspective, the 2003 birthplace SR is very powerful with

24 Taurus rising (conjunct natal Moon and Part of Fortune) and Sun/Pluto on

the descendant and Jupiter at the nadir in partile square to the ascendant

and, of course, square Sun/Pluto. (These are all Krishnamurti

positions--just subtract one degree for Fagan.)

Now if you relocate this chart to Washington, it doesn't look nearly as

strong. The D.C. chart has 19 Gemini rising with Saturn on the ascendant

and Venus-Mercury on the descendant. Of course, in Jyotish, this is still a

good combination since Saturn is the 9th lord, Venus rules 5th and Mercury

is the ascendant lord. But there's no angular Sun in this chart which you'd

expect for an election victory.

So if an astrologer were undecided between the birth place chart and the

D.C. chart, there would be a bit of a dilemma.

Now taking the 2004 SR, which would be after the election excitement was

over and include the first year in office, 9 Leo rises in this chart with

Uranus just on the descendant and square the MC The Moon is at the

nadir/IC, so square Uranus. O.K., changes and possible change of residence,

but this chart really doesn't say anything about having the top political

role in the country. BUT natal Jupiter at 4 Leo is conjunct the SR ascendant.

And...well, if you use Jyotish rules, the conjunction of the lord of 9th

(Mars) and 10th (Venus) form a raja (kingly) yoga, and they are close to

the I.C.

Relocated to D.C., 2 Virgo rises. This puts Mercury-Pluto-Sun at the

nadir/IC. This is an appropriate configuration for a new president, though

if houses mean anything in return charts, one would wonder about the 4th

house emphasis. Could a western sidereal astrologer on this list comment on

this configuration??

Bush's 2004 SR for his birth place has 3 Gemini rising. Moon-Uranus are at

the M.C. Pluto is at 26 Scorpio, widely conjunct the descendant. Jupiter

widely opposes the Moon.

Relocated to D.C. 28 Taurus rises. This is close to the birth place

ascendant and Moon-Uranus are more widely conjunct the M.C., but Pluto is

right on the descendant. From his natal chart, the SR ascendant falls right

on Uranus/Rahu in the 11th. So GW's natal nodes fall on the asc/dec of this

return chart. Since transiting Pluto is just on natal south node by a few

minutes (mean node), this does not look like victory since the south

node/Ketu typically means loss or sacrifice.

The relocated chart does have Jupiter at the I.C., but it's the 8th lord.

Does this mean a return 'home' to Crawford? Personally I never believed

that GW really wanted to be president. He always seemed to be a pawn for

the Republican mafia.

To me, this chart looks like a major change in life. Comments, anyone?

Therese
