This chart is for July 16, 2004 at 9:08:34 p.m. in Washington, D.C. From the file Bert attached to his post, I assume the possible terrorist attack relates to these positions: Ascendant: 12 Cap 30; Neptune 19 Cap 44R; Mars 19 Cap 38R. Now this is a good test for the solar ingress chart and the ayanamsa. The Cancer ingress chart using the Krishnamurti ayanamsa is quite different and much more benign if we're looking **only** at planets on the angles. The Sun enters Cancer (with the K ayanamsa) on July 15, 2004 at 7:29:48 p.m. There are no strong malefic angular planets in this chart. However, if you consider *aspects* to the M.C., there are some significant ones: Ascendant: 0 Cap 38; Sun: 00 Can 00 (the only strongly angular planet) M.C. 23 Lib 17 Mercury: 24 Can 29 Mars: 20 Can 08 Saturn: 23 Gem 58 (trine MC) Neptune: 20 Can 44 Note that these orbs to the M.C. are closer than the Mars-Neptune opposition on the Asc-Dec axis in the Fagan-Bradley chart. The angular F-B Mars-Neptune squares the M.C. in the Krishnamurti chart. This is a good example of why it's so difficult to pin down **the** ayanamsa (if indeed there is one ayanamsa that's the only correct one). I don't know how significant these aspects to the M.C. are if none of the planets is close to an angle in the zodiac. There are no quincunx aspects to the angles except Venus to the M.C., and the nodes aren't involved in the M.C. aspects. I would expect both quincunx and nodal involvement for a major malefic event that would effect large numbers of people. If the ascendant is the *body* of a locale, then there are no signficant close afflictions in the Krishnamurti chart. The Mercury-Mars aspects to the M.C. may relate to the continued Iraq conflict, which Washington must deal with. Let's wait and see what the month brings.
