It's from the Italian Sesti's THE GLORIOUS CONSTELLATIONS. He has several pages of biographical references, but doesn't reference each statement. Much of his material came from the British Museum's massive Library along with more familiar books like Allen's STAR NAMES. As we've learned, Cyril Fagan was correct about horoscopic astrology's link to Egypt, but wrong about the antiquity of astrology in Egypt. As far as I know he didn't mention Egypt's debt to Babylonia in relation to the zodiac. (Maybe he did, and I don't remember.) From Sesti: " The zodiac we use comes to us from Babylonia. (In the ancient world it superseded the Egyptian one, which began, not with Aries or the divine Lamb, but with the sacred Cat, and then went on to display a dozen animals of the Nile region...
