Guest guest
NEW MADRID QUAKES OF 1811-1812 The Mississippi River Valley quakes, known as the New Madrid quakes are some of the largest quakes in the U.S. since its settlement by Europeans. The quakes changed the course of the Mississippi River and caused major land upheavels. The area of strong shaking was 10 times that of the great 1906 San Francisco quake, so these quakes should show up clearly in relevant charts. The four strongest quakes happened under two separate solar ingress charts--the Capricorn ingresses of 1911 and 1912 if you use the Cap Ingresses for the entire year, or the Sagittarius and Capricorn monthly ingresses of 1911-1912, if only monthly ingress charts are used. I have used the monthly ingress charts as natal charts and the actual quake charts as transits to these charts as well as quake charts in their own right. The strongest quake happened under the Capsolar of 1812, so I'll look at those two quakes first: There is a very striking Moon and stellar pattern in the Krishnamurti charts. The Sag ingress ascendant is in the degree of Antares in Scorpio; the Moon's position at the time of the strongest quake (#4) is in the **degree and minute** of Antares, and the Moon's position for the other quake (#3) is in Taurus on the ingress descendant in parallel aspect to Aldebaran. The ascendant of Quake #3 is conjunct Ketu at the nadir of the Sag ingress chart (1 degree orb). The ascendant of Quake #4 is with the Moon of the ingress chart (1 degree orb). The Moon in the ingress chart is square the MC and opposite Jupiter. Thus, Jupiter falls on the descendant of the quake chart. There are major stress configurations in all the charts, both ingress and quake. Here are some of the major contacts between the Capricorn 1812 ingress and the two quake charts: K CAP INGRESS QUAKE #3 QUAKE #4 F-B INGRESS ------------- -------- -------- ----------- Asc 16 39 Sco--->Moon 13 35 Tau-->Moon 16 Sco Asc 7 Sco SN 19 28 Aqu--->Asc 18 41 Aqu -----------> MC 18 Leo SN 18 52 Aqu Moon 4 55 Sag-----------------> Asc 3 43 Sag Moon 18 Sag K Ingress: Asc-Nep sq Nodes (Mars sq Neptune) Quake #3: Asc-SN (NN) sq Neptune K Ingress: Moon-Sat opp Jupiter, both sq MC Quake #4: Asc conj ingress Moon; Ur/Mer qcx (finger of God) to Jupiter on the Desc. In other words the double qcx (finger of God pointing to Jupiter) in aspect to the MC in the ingress chart appears focused on Jupiter on the Desc in the quake chart. Quake #3 focused on the Ingress Asc-Nep-Node configuration. Quake Jupiter is involved in a foreground (MC anchored) T-cross: Jup opp Sat sq Mars Quake #4 focused on the Ingress Jupiter-MC configuration. The nodes are still involved by the qcx of SN-Ven-Plu to the quake MC. SN-Plu-Mars were at the IC in the ingress chart. **The Ascendant of Quake #3 exactly matches the F-B IC at 18 Aqu.** But the quake Moon is further from cusp 7 than the K ingress. Likewise the Antares Moon of Quake #4 misses the F-B ingress ascendant by 9 degrees. There are two pages of charts posted in the files section in the Earthquake folder for the 1812 Cap ingress: (1) The F-B 1812 Cap ingress (Sun at 59 min of Cap) with Quakes #3 and #4. (The ingress is noted as 59 minutes of the sign.) (2) The K 1812 Cap ingress with Quakes #3 and #
