Guest guest
Hi Therese, Thanks for the feedback. With respect to meanings, I think I will leave my answer to next week or so. I would like to read your articles and reflect a bit more. I think I am now in a state of symbolic confusion. For the time being I will just talk about a few things below. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > >I have a degree in electrical/electronics engineering, but what I do > >mostly is software. > > Is this programming using a keyboard? My understanding was that working > with software meant many hours a day entering code into a computer. Am I > wrong? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As a software engineer I do many things, including the odd bit of work as a hardware engineer, but the main thing I do is software development. Yes, I do use a keyboard, a mouse and a monitor at work, just like you do to write posts to this forum, but this is not manual work. Software is a structured idea, and therefore has no physical existence. A program can be stored in a computer file, or the program source code can be shown on screen, but that is just a manifestation of the idea, not the idea itself, which is only in the brain. Obviously there are good and bad ideas, therefore a good developer can create a good program using just one finger and typing slowly, while a bad developer can create a bad program using ten fingers and typing fast and well. As you see, it has nothing to do with the hands. Software development is a creative activity, tough mostly it is the rational faculties of the brain that are exercised, and not, for example, the artistic faculties, or emotions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > >I don't understand this. This Rahu mansion is > often related to astrology, meaning that some astrologers will have planets > there. Astrology is only one manifestation of this Rahu mansion. There's a > lot more reserach that needs to be done on the mansions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks for the explanation. I did my nakshatra chart with Canopus, and I got Sun, Mercury, and South Node on mansion 24, ascendant on 23, moon on 3. Could you please do a quick interpretation for me of these placings? Is there an esoteric theme in my chart? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > This is all very true! I completely agree. I've believed for a long time > that astrology is still in its infancy as far as our understanding of it > goes. And it may be that only a person with a very high level of > consciousness (as is said of the Indian masters) will ever fully comprehend > astrology. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I agree with you, moreover I think Astrology is in a dire need of a genius right now, either someone that will make new discoveries, as Newton or Einstein did in Physics, or else someone like Ptolomy, that could systematise all the astrological knowledge gathered to the present day, and that would be capable of sorting out the mess, and separate wheat from chaff.
