Guest guest
Respected Mishra ji, [ 1 ] The 35 year ayu chakra [ age cycle ] and the 35 year dasha cycle are two different cycles. Both are independent of each other. The sequence of planets for both the cycles is also different. The starting point of the age cycle is fixed and is uniformly applicable . It begins with Saturn ruling over the first 6 years of the native, followed by rahu for another 6 years and so on. The starting point of the dasha cycle is not fixed. The sequence of periods ruled by various planets is fixed though. Since there is no unanimity amongst Lal Kitab scholars on how the dasha cycle will operate, this cycle is not used by most. There is no evidence of this dasha cycle being used even by Pt. Rupchand ji himself. A Lal Kitab scholar has suggested that the dasha cycle should begin with the planet of the time of birth [ janma waqt ka grah ]. But there is a big fallacy in this suggestion. Since the entire night has been designated for the Saturn, therefore it would mean that for all those born during the night the 35 year dasha will start with Saturn , or in other words almost half the population of the world will have Saturn as the starting point for 35 year dasha cycle. That will be grossly illogical. We as a group { Aligarh Group ] do not use this 35 year dasha cycle. We use the 35 year age cycle in almost all the cases. [ 2 ] You are right that the Sun keeps quiet in the company of Rahu. This is true only for the significations of the Sun for the house it is posited in with Rahu. It has nothing to do with the years of the Sun in the 35 year age cycle. The Sun will neither give benefic nor malefic results for the house it is in with Rahu. In order to make the Sun give its results the book advises that the Upaya for the eclipse of the Sun be done. [ 3 ] The help of the major events in life to ascertain the ruling planet in either of the cycles should be taken only if it is a case of ‘nashta jatak’ [ when the birth details are not known]. If the birth details are known and a horoscope is there in that case we should follow the laid down sequence. If a person gets married before the years of venus or builds a house before the cycle of Saturn, then the reasons could be different like the conducive Vinshottari dasha, or a conducive transit. Such events in life could just be pointers and not the conclusive factors.
