Guest guest
I just joined here because of my recent playing around with my astronomy computer program. I've casually studied tropical western astrology for about 15 yrs or so. I've especially found a couple books by Jan Spiller that have seemed right on. But now I've been introduced to the procession of the equinoxes! My astronomy program puts the planets back about a sign or so and I became so confused. I asked what was going on and someone pulled open the curtain. I've always described astrology to others by what's actually going on in the sky. It made sense to me and it was the only thing that made sense. Now I know that if I adjust the year of my birth a thousand years or so back my sun would've been in Gemini. Is this when they set in stone the tropical zodiac? Now I'm aware of the drift, and have become so bewildered. I have very much identified with my tropical natal chart and many books seem to ring true for me. I now wonder how much for me personaly has my personality been described by western tropical astrology vs. how much have I adjusted to the enculturation of tropical astrology's interpretations. Am I totally not what I agreed I was? Am I something completely different? Have I been brainwashed by tropical astrology? Is astrology at all have any insight? and Why have those tropical interpretations seemed to explain my personality? Also why did they stop looking into the sky and interpret what was physically going on out there? I don't expect any answers but would appreciate some responses as a new member. I appreciate your efforts. sincerely, Adam
