Dear list,

I just came across an article in the India Times, one of the world

newspapers I keep my eye on via the internet.

In Australia, cricket is a very big sport here and so I have been

following it for many years. In general, I like to keep across

records of all types in many areas.

It seems that both Virender Sehwag and Rahul are on the verge of

breaking the long-standing world record for a first wicket

partnership. Even Virender Sehwag's 247 runs so far, is phenonemal.

Does anyone have the birth times of these two?

The birth data I have for Virender Sehwag is:

20 October 1978, Delhi, India

The birth data I have for Rahul Dravid is:

11 January 1973, Indore, India

Regards,

Neville

India Times:

Sehwag, Dravid pound Pakistan

Virender Sehwag smashed a breathtaking unbeaten 247 and put on an

epic unfinished 403-run opening stand with Rahul Dravid to frustrate

Pakistan and restore balance on a record-shattering day of the first

Test in Lahore on Monday.

The flamboyant Sehwag and Dravid (128) put themselves tantilisingly

close to breaking the world record opening partnership as the

visitors cruised to 403 for no loss in reply to Pakistan's 679 for

seven declared before play was called off early due to bad light on

a truncated penultimate day of the match.

India's new opening pair was just 11 runs short of breaking Vinoo

Mankad and Pankaj Roy's long standing world record for opening

partnership established against New Zealand in Chennai in 1955-56.
