Guest guest
Hi, I'm a noob to astrology, just discovered that astrology is more than sun-signs about a year ago...and have been interested ever since. Where can I find good instructions/software generators for calculating an accurate Sidereal Chart, and taking into consideration the variable degrees of the sidereal constellations and etc.. I'm born in 2nd Aug 1981 9:17am Singapore-Singapore Supposely Sun's at 15 deg Cancer..but is that true when the var deg of the sidereal constellation were taken into consideration? None of the software that I have takes the var. const. deg. into consideration. I don't feel like a cancer since I never believed in relying on my emotions to think, and abdicate the reliance of faith, gut feelings to make decisions..and always tries to be cold in my reasoning. I'm more of a vir/gem person, I and my friends would agree, and my tropical chart + my helio and other planet's persona charts (3 gem rising) " seems " to be consistant with that. And also Jup/Sat in Lib with most of the deg in 1st house, and 2 Gemini and 4 Libra Helio planets makes sense to me too. But there's always this nagging feeling that I should take a look at Sidereal Ast. since it makes more " sense " when looking at the whole concept of astrology, which seems to be more about what's in the starts and planets than the seasons. To be honest, I'm actually a skeptic of Astrology, but I'm what you'd call a fallable skeptic, since I'm ready to accept it once convenced on my own terms..which is why I'm testing it. But the ambiguity of the meaning contained within the charts, where the flexbility in which any chart could be interpreted is also a cause of my doubts..on top of the lack of good scientific/philosophical reasons on why some great mass of matter would give rise to the effect as was claimed..and I've also been wondering over what would happen if say, you were to travel to mars, moon..or even born on other planets...what's the meaning of the planets then? Or what would happen to a person who've left the solar system, born in another galaxy...and so on? Would Jupiter have the same meaning if say you are born on one of Saturn's Moon?...what would Earth's moon mean then? The countless many but ignored significantly large objects in our solar system..and what would happen if ANY one of them " super-conjuncts " earth by crashing into it? lol What does Jupiter's moons and other planets and their moons mean to the experession of Jupiter in our charts at different moments..doesn't that make some of those planets with (many) moon(s) behave rather unpredictably?...amoung countless other silly things that I've been poundering about regarding the astrology " concept " . =) Anyway, thanks for the help and pardon my poor english, Wade

Guest guest
Thanks Bert, But I've used Astrolog and www.astro.com, and they doesn't seem to take the Variable Degs of the sidereal constellations into consideration, since I've read that sidereal signs doesn't spans 30 equal degrees...like for instance, sidereal Virgo is actually larger than 30 degs wide...and etc.. http://thesunsetchart.com/sidetrop.html " Some constellations (based on Powell) are small as 9° 23' in longitude (Cancer) and as long as 43° 00' in longitude (Virgo). " That'll certainly make a difference in my chart..
