Thai worker killed in attack in Gaza

Dear Group,

A Thai guest worker was killed today and another wounded in an attack in

Gaza today. There is talk now of repatriating all the 25,000 Thai

guestworkers in Israel and Gaza.

This broadly confirms the Thailand chart I mentioned earlier what had

25-29 Aries rising. Mars is aspecting that 6.55 am ascendant today

exactly, so that's a point for it.

I had predicted that there would likely be some attacks in Thailand during

this time period. There were small attacks a week ago while Mars was

around 22-24 Libra. This loosely aspected the 6.40 am/25Aries ascendant

but I was unconvinced that the karma had been burned up.

This latest violent attack seems to fit the bill better and gives support

to the latter ascendant.

cheers,

Chris

Chris, can you please post the Thailand chart data again? I've had to scan

posts really fast as I've had little computer time.

Actually, a good policy for all of us is in any post where we discuss a

chart, give the data again to keep it with the commentary and current news.

In my case, about 75 posts a day come into my mailbox, mostly from a few

different lists and forums. So it's hopeless to try to go back and find a

particular post unless I've printed it out.

Sure Therese,

Thailand -- April 21 1782 6.55 am LMT Bangkok with 29 Aries rising

(Lahiri) There is some dispute about the actual time. A Thai astrologer

I know insists it is 6.40 based on the documents. This would give 25

Aries rising.

What are the sources? A Cracker Jack box or an official data release!? Where

can it be found? Damn, sometime I wonder why it's difficult to tell our

sources.

Hi Francois,

This won't answer your question on Chris' source, but Campion gives two

times for Thailand.

Thailand constitution: June 24, 1932 @ 5:00 AM in Bangkok

Foundation of Bangkok: April 6, 1782 @ 6:54 AM

In the Campion software version (which is what I have) there are no

other details.

If someone has Campion's book they might be able to add some information

here.

Best,

STeve

Many thanks for the sources you have given. I appreciate it.

Steve and Francois,

I know about Campion's dates. I used to use them myself until I contacted

a Thai astrologer and he filled me in on the chart. Most Thai astrologers

use the April 21st date. I'm not sure what it represents other than the

formal ceremony to mark the beginning of the present Chakri dynastry. The

April 6th 1782 date that Campion includes is a sort of precusor date. It

is real enough in an historical sense and marks the beginning of Bangkok

as the new capital but it has no official status as the beginning of the

state.

FWIW, I've worked with all of the charts and found the April 21st chart to

work the best.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for that clarification--shows how important local knowledge is in these

types of data.

Best,

Steve

Steve,

And just to fill in the blanks a bit, it is widely known in Thailand that

the Aprl 21 date and time was selected by court astrologers. They

apparently timed it for 24 minutes after sunrise for auspiciousness.

Given the longevity of the dynasty, and the fact that Thailand is the only

country in the region to avoid colonization and injurious wars, I'd say

those Thai astrologers did a fair job.

Of course that doesn't make it correct, only significant at the time.

Still, if searching for a workable chart of Thailand the april 21st chart

is the first place I would look.
