Guest guest
Dear List, Just a brief note here. Yesterday's tsumani hit southern Thailand quite hard. The death toll has passed 500 and is expected to climb much higher. Key transit hits to the Apr 21 1782 6.55 am chart include: tr Mercury 19 Scorpio and tr Venus 18 Scorpio opp natal Mars 19Taurus. However, the real story of devastation is found in the progressed charts. Tertiary progressed Mars 18 Leo squares natal Mars 19 Taurus while tertiary progressed Venus Aries conjoins tertiary progressed Ketu 18 Aries. This conjunction is square the MC and natal Pluto within one degree. The Venus affliction here denotes harm done to tourists and the tourism industry. This event should be useful in rectifying charts of the various countries affected. Chris Send a seasonal email greeting and help others. Do good. http://celebrity.mail. Guest guest
Some more notes on the earthquake and tsunami with respect to the Thailand chart. Accounts from friends and neighbours here in Bangkok have the quake occuring at about 8.00 am as buildings swayed and houses shook. Many were wokened by the tremors. Some evacuations took place in high rises downtown. This confirms the official time of 7.58 am (TZ+7). For the record, I slept through it. The outer planet transits point to a significant event. Tr Pluto 28 Scorpio is conjunct the equal 8th house cusp within one degree for the 6.55 chart (Apr 21 1782 Bangkok) while tr Neptune is conjunct the MC within one degree. Also, Tr Sun 10 Sag was exactly conjunct natal Saturn 10 Sag. The applying Mars (6 Scorpio)-Uranus (9 Aquarius) transit square was activating natal Uranus 8Gemini53. The Mars Uranus square was also in proximity to the luminaries: Moon 11 Cancer and Sun 10 Aries. As we know, these slower, long-term combinations are a dime a dozen and are difficult by themselves to use predictively. The heliocentric chart shows some cleaner transit hits. Tr Earth 10 Gemini was conjunct natal Uranus 11 Gemini. Tr Mars and Tr Venus conjunct at 15 Libra exactly square natal Pluto 15Capricorn. Tr Mercury 22Leo is exactly trine its natal position at 22 Sag. Tr Uranus 12Aq trines the midpoint of natal Mars 13 Ge and Uranus 11Ge. Tr Pluto 28 Sc conjoins natal Jupiter 28Sc. While some of these hits may not seem difficult by aspect or even by the planets involved, it's clear that the simultaneity of them is linked to the magnitude of the catastrophe. Trines between energizing planets can create havoc if other factors in the horoscope are negative. The Sri Lanka chart data is Feb 4 1948 00.00 IST Columbo. I can see that this chart has at least one classic signature for disruption: tertiary progressed Mars conjunct Ketu at the time of the tsunami. Chris ps Look for the death toll among foreign tourists here to continue to rise. My next door neighbour here has family in the Krabi area, one of the areas hardest hit. Her son runs a business there and he said most of the dead are foreigners, not Thais. That's probably because the beach was the worst place to me for this thing and most foreigners hang out at the beach. Earlier in the morning, people had noticed a sudden drop in the ocean level. Some called friends to come down to the beach and check it out. Bad move. --- Christopher Kevill <ckevill wrote: > Dear List, > > Just a brief note here. > > Yesterday's tsumani hit southern Thailand quite hard. Guest guest
Just another follow up note. The government here has announced that over 700 of the 1000+ deaths are foreign tourists. This gives clear support to the tertiary progressed Venus-Ketu conjunction representing tourists, especially foreign ones. Although the conjunction occurred in the lagna sign of Aries in Thailand chart, it fell into the unequal 12th house. Preliminary analyses suggest that the tourism industry in the south of the country may take two years to recover. Chris Mail - 250MB free storage. Do more. Chris, The time was initially given as 06:58:50 local time at the site: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqinthenews/2004/usslav/ They have now corrected the time to 07:58:49. This makes more sense and comes into line with various reports I was reading on the news. Best, Steve
Guest guest
Dear Robert, The wave was different heights in different places. On small, isolated Phi Phi island, it was huge (+20 ft) and most people who survived were on the 2nd or 3rd floor of hotels, although even those sustained injuries. Some people managed to survive on the beach by being fortune enough to avoid collisions with debris or buildings. A friend of a friend lost someone in her office. She had gone down to holiday in the worst hit area of Pang Nga province specifically Khao Lak, which is north of Phuket by about 50 kms. There is a high ratio of fatalities there. Her son went down to look for her and her husband. The hotel was completely destroyed, nothing left at all. Chris
